Wittgenstein
once co-designed
a house.
The other man
Paul Engelmann
created beautiful angles
As Ludo pondered door handles.
I love Ludwig
for little things
like this.
Detail, like beauty, is all.
I'd like to live there
cause his sister
didn't much care for
it.

Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind living there.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you took as much care and attention over that pome as Wittgenstein did over those handles?
I bet you - quite literally - tossed it off.
Just saying.
Took much deliberation.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment.
Deliberation?
DeleteBlood, sweat, tears, rage and violent self-laceration: that's what I expect from your actual poetasters.
Thanks for your reply.
Could you tell me where this so-called 'Haus' is - it looks a bit Bauhausian. Plus, I think all of us Channel 4 viewers would be keen to know just how much it is worth in Great British Pesos.
DeleteIt's in Vienna, now an embassy, must be worth a few million I guess.
DeleteHas its own Wikipage...

Actually gleaned more information about the man and the building on the wikipage.....and it looks a lot like the Bauhaus museum in Tel-Aviv which Wittgenstein's sister wouldn't like much either... :)
