The Independent: Beyond Gay Marriage
It's good to see The Independent now seems to be desperately trying to make up for their piss-poor erratic and lame coverage of gay news (Can't imagine why...)
There are seven stories online and in print in the last 24 hours.
But maybe someone should tell them that there are other issues that affect LGBT people apart from just gay marriage.
Endless stories about gay marriage, endless stories about gay marriage, Elton John, Elton John, endless patronising glib stories about gay marriage, gay marriage...
I love being patronised, me.
This is all part of their new "campaign", 'Equal Partners' - a name that spectacularly misses the point.
Still, you can sign an online petition.
Woop!
PS Appalled to hear contributors to the new Independent Voices online comment site are expected to work for free.
Makes the front page headline here - 'Give Up Your Workplace Rights' - seem cruelly ironic.
PPS I understand the Independent On Sunday may have dispensed with the services of their great music critic - and an honorary queer - Simon Price. Idiots.
