Attitude Awards: When Rylan Met Gandalf (Possibly)

HYPERACTIVE X Factor wannabe Rylan Clark has bagged a new buddy... GANDALF THE GREY.
Legendary actor Sir Ian McKellen met the Essex “singer” at a gay mag awards bash this week and the pair immediately hit it off.
Lord Of The Rings star Sir Ian told Rylan he was backing him all the way. And after swapping numbers, the stage and screen veteran told him he’ll help him navigate the choppy waters of the showbiz world.

NB This is "according to a source" - often Sun code for we've made this up, and so they may have  just been trying to think of a non-libelous story to link two of the biggest names at the Attitude Awards.
Maybe they did hook up and become bosom buddies, but why couldn't The Sun find a photo of the happy couple together and use that instead of the clumsy montage above?

PS The Sun also report that Tara Palmer-Tomkinson clearly had a good night.
