Star Wars: A New Hope

John Boyega and Daisy Ridley may play the main charcters of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but it's his relationship with Oscar Isaac that keeps us talking.

While many fans have been shipping Finn and Poe together ever since the seventh film in the franchise premiered in December, we were heartbroken when John came forward saying a gay romance was probably not going to happen.

However it sounds like he's changed his mind!

John spoke to reporters about his character's potential love interes afer winning big at the Baftas on Sunday, saying:

“What’s so funny, I posted a video the other day of myself working out, skipping, and in the background Oscar is just like, ‘Yeah baby go on!’ and people just went crazy.

“But as far as I’m concerned, when JJ [Abrams] sat us down to go through the script, it was a bromance,” he continued. “But now I’m learning what Mark Hamill said before when he didn’t know that Darth Vader was Luke’s father: you never know what they’re going to pull. I’m looking at the director Rian [Johnson] closely so he can get me involved early, so I can prepare myself. So who knows?”

This needs to happen.

Perez Hilton.

Wouldn't be the first gay couple in Star Wars, of course.

Celebrity Big Brother: Complaints

There were 2,736 complaints in total about the Channel 5 show, including 715 about Perez Hilton's "sexualised behaviour" and 480 about his "threatening behaviour".

The media watchdog also received 262 about "racially offensive language" after Ken Morley repeatedly used the n-word.

A spokesman said: "Ofcom carefully assessed a number of complaints about this series of Celebrity Big Brother and has decided they do not raise issues warranting further investigation under our rules.

"We were satisfied Channel 5 had broadcast clear and appropriate warnings about the potentially offensive content, and that it intervened in heated exchanges. We also took into account audience expectations and the fact that the series was broadcast after the watershed." ...

Daily Express.

Dear Ofcom,

CBB is shit and Perez Hilton is a twat.

Celebrity Big Brother: Meet Perez Hilton

Mirror.
Always good to be reminded why I don't own a TV.

I wonder what crazy campy bitchy hi-jinx he'll be getting up to.

Well, obviously I don't really give a flying buttfuck.

All this and Katie Hopkins, too!

Fagburn: Song Of The Year

Do you jingle when you dingle dangle???

Tweets Of The Week: Liam Payne

When fans saw among the weekend's leaked photos a shot of two men naked in bed together, one of whom looked a bit like Liam, some Directioners really let their minds begin to wonder!

But Liam was quick to deny the whole thing on Twitter...

Perez Hilton.

Actually it looks absolutely nothing like him, unless he owns some weird bear costume...

Gaysuitcasegate: Public Shaming! Homophobic Vandalism! Disturbing Deets!

Perez Hilton.

Where do you even start?
It's telling - and depressing - that so many gay journalists set their controls for 'IT'S HOMOPHOBIA!' hysteria on this silly and possibly made-up non-story.
Whilst Sun readers' comments were quite rational...

Obviously insecure about his own sexuality with zero sense of humour, and how is it humiliating being gay or having people see that you're gay? Calling somebody gay is not an insult, its laddish behaviour for calling somebody out on more feminine ways.

1. gay is not homophobic. 2. it would have taken him all of 10 seconds to unpeel those stickers, or at least change the G and Y to F and T hahahaha

I didn't know suitcases could be gay.....

What happened to having a sense of humour?

Sorry but "gay" is not a slur.
etc etc.

Enough of this ridiculous gay panic!
Quick question: Why is it things like this only appear to animate and agitate the most apolitical queens?
Is there an e-petition yet?

Gay Goons: It Gets Worse

Perez Hilton has over 6 million followers on Twitter.
Not sure if that says more about Twitter than just twits in general.
Famously - and oh so vocally - opposed to homophobic bullying, Perez thinks torturing a teenage suspect in contravention of international law and all known moral codes is just fine and dandy.
Why have all these right-wing/reactionary gay goons come crawling out the woodwork this past fortnight?

Better watch out, Perez.
Here's the "adorable" over-entitled spoilt gay brat, @LOHANTHONY, and he has over 400,000 followers already, and he has a similar level of political sophistication to you.
And here's the ever woeful Gay Star News showing their usual high journalistic standards by finding another (!) spurious "gay angle" on this story, and that they have absolutely no idea about responsible reporting of an ongoing legal case.
FFS!
I've had enough of these stupid power-serving gay wankers.

Jonathan Knight: No More Games

The New Kids On The Block singer recently opened up to Gay Times, in which he talks about being outed by popstar and former beard, Tiffany. ”I felt stupid having to make a public statement,” he says in the new issue. “Even when the band got back together in 2008, New Kids fans knew I was gay. Everyone did.”
While he may have lived an open life, it wasn’t quite public knowledge. And former outing king, Perez Hilton, was one of the ones that was determined to break the news.
“Perez tried to out me many times and I hate that guy for doing that. I was already gay and living a gay lifestyle but he wanted me to talk about it. Why? My brother and the rest of the guys don’t go on interviews saying ‘I’m straight” etc. so why do I need to just because I’m gay? People like him want me to talk about it to make themselves feel better. They think ‘I’m gay so I want to make sure everybody knows I’m not the only one out there.’ I hate that.”

Queerty.

Funny that Queerty forgets to mention somewhere else that kept outing Jonathan... Queerty!
Please accept our sincerest hypocrisy etc etc.

In October 2010, Perez Hilton told Ellen he was going to stop outing celebrities; "Over the last two weeks I have been doing everything I can to bring awareness to the teen suicides and gay bullying. In doing so, a lot of people have called me a hypocrite and a bully myself and a big one... From now on I really want to be part of the solution and not part of the problem."
One upshot of this was there were less boring articles in the media repeating the same tired old arguments about "the ethics of outing".
And, as he'd predicted, the number of visitors to his new kinder, gentler site dropped.
Perez Hilton's best-known "scalps" included Lance Bass, Anderson Cooper, Neil Patrick Harris, and, but of course, Jonathan Knight - all have since come out.

PS Yes, I know Fagburn may have also "suggested" various closeted people are homosexual, so don't write in.

Jonah Mowry: "I'm Tired Of Being Torn Down"

PS This went viral after Perez Hilton posted it.
There was some bitchtalk that it was in some way "fake" - that Jonah was acting up and putting it on for the camera. It appears it's real - here's Jonah's mom.

Malcolm X: By Any Means Necessary

'Was Malcolm X Gay?' asks the legally brain-dead Perez Hilton.
"According to a new book about the civil rights leader, the answer is YES!"
Umm. No, it's not, dear.
'Malcolm X was bisexual and his REAL killer escaped justice, claims leading black scholar', shouts the Daily Mail - showing what they think's the biggest story in the new biography by Manning Marable.
Okay, so the man who murdered Brother Malcolm got away with it, but what's all this about Malcolm X and the same-sexing?
"The book, written by one of New York's foremost African-American scholars, says Malcolm X had a relationship with a white businessman."
And that's all the Mail will tell us.
Oh.
Not to worry, Malcolm X: The Man Behind the Myth is the cover story in The Guardian's G2 section today - I'm sure Hugh Muir will dish.
"There is virtual confirmation of the claim that in his pre-Nation of Islam hustling days, Malcolm Little, as he was, hired himself out as source of sexual gratification for an older white male benefactor. The story is recounted in the autobiography, but there the hustler is a third party called Rudy. Rudy, according to the autobiography, would 'be paid to undress them both, then pick up the old man like a baby, lay him on his bed, then stand over him and sprinkle him all over with talcum powder. Rudy said the old man would actually reach his climax from that.' Based on 'circumstantial but strong evidence, Malcolm was probably describing his own homosexual encounters,' Marable says."
Is that it?
I'm not even sure that counts as sex, does it?
And if it's ever actually confirmed, does it tell us anything about young Malcolm beyond him being poor and needing some money and being prepared to get some by any means necessary?
I haven't felt so underwhelmed since yesterday's story about the deleted sentence in From Here To Eternity.
They'll be telling us Gandhi possibly may or may not have had a bit of gay sex next.

• Some say there's quite a bit more to Malcolm X's homosexing than this. See 'Malcolm X - Gay Black Hero? On Malcolm X's 80th birthday, Peter Tatchell reveals the hidden gay past of the American black nationalist leader'.
Peter Tatchell has a poster of Denzel Washington as Malcolm X in his loo, incidentally.

Glee: Straight Acting Gay (Not Bi)

"Blaine is NOT bi. He is gay, and will always be gay. I think it's very important to young kids that they know this character is one of them."

Glee creator Ryan Murphy, in a short statement sent to Perez Hilton.
Murphy was responding to a blind item on Hilton's blog suggesting Blaine would become bisexual - which went viral over the weekend.
Perez Hilton was presumably reading a little too much into a comment made by Ryan Murphy in a profile of actor Darren Criss in the latest issue of Out magazine.

"It’s my job as showrunner to keep them apart as long as possible," says Ryan Murphy. "Blaine will openly question whether bisexuality is real. I think that some people will love that discussion and some will not love it."
He’s even coy about whether they’ll get together at all. "When that moment comes - if it comes, says Murphy, "I want to treat that relationship like we treat all the other relationships on the show. I want it to be as flawed and as exposed as everyone else’s."

The delicious Mr Criss took a well-earned break from looking sultry and sweaty in Out's fashion photoshoot to add to the current debate about gay acting straight and vice versa;
"I think it’s more empowering to everybody, including myself, if I’m articulate about identifying myself as a straight male playing a gay character. Ultimately, that’s more powerful for both communities."

Glee Wars: "Fuck You, Kings Of Leon!"

"Fuck you, Kings Of Leon. They are self-centred assholes and they missed the big picture."
Glee creator Ryan Murphy in Hollywood Reporter after Kings Of Leon refused to allow one of their songs to be covered on the show.

"Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go. See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Zip your lip and focus on educating seven year-olds how to say fuck."
Kings Of Leon drummer, Nathan Followill, on Twitter.

"That's a homophobe badly in need of some education, I'm all for manicures, don't wear a bra. Would guess most gay dudes don't. It's telling that Nathan can reduce a group of people to a mean-spirited cliché, in a time where young gay men are killing themselves all over the country because of hatred like this.
"That said, I would love to sit down with Nathan or any member of Kings and Leon [sic], and tell them how on Glee we actually love their music, and support their artistry… but cannot condone or even laugh at their clear disdain of gay people."
Ryan Murphy to Perez Hilton.

"I'm sorry for anyone that misconstrued my comments as homophobic or misogynistic. I'm so not that kind of person. I really do apologise."
Nathan Followill on Twitter.

"This whole Glee thing is a shock to us. It's gotten out of hand. At the time of the request, we hadn't even seen the show. It came at the end of that record cycle, and we were over promoting. This was never meant as a slap in the face to Glee."
Kings Of Leon singer, Caleb Followill.

"Glee is great. Kings Of Leon are shit."

Perez Hilton: No More Mr Nasty Gay

Bullying fat-fighting pointless fame slut Perez Hilton says he's going to stop being nasty about celebrities.
Good for him.
"I'm going to do things differently on my website than I have in the past. I'm not going to call people nasty nicknames. I'm not going to go the mean route. I'm going to force myself to be funnier or smarter."
The recent gay teen suicides was Perez's Pauline moment; "From now on I really want to be part of the solution and not part of the problem," he told Ellen DeGeneres.
"I don't want to be a bully. I don't want to be called a bully."
So presumably he'll stop outing gay celebs, and posting private photos of them at it.
Fine.
But isn't this like Amazon saying they're going to stop selling books?
Then what is point?
