Ellen's reply to a Christian Post article last week arguing - some may say rather unconvincingly - that she is part of an avalanche of filth coming from Hollywood to brainwash the kids into thinking queers are normal and nice.

Statistic Of The Day: It's Not, It's Not, It's Not, Not A Sin

Americans who believe being gay is a sin are now a minority — a shift that a Southern Baptist-affiliated research group links to President Barack Obama's changed opinion of gay marriage.
A November survey from Nashville-based LifeWay Research found 37 percent of Americans polled said "yes" when asked if homosexual behavior is a sin. Forty-five percent said it was not. Seventeen percent didn't know.
That's a major change from LifeWay's September 2011 survey, when 44 percent said homosexuality was a sin, 43 percent said it wasn't and 13 percent didn't know...

Anthea Butler, associate professor of religious studies at the University of Pennsylvania, said that politics, culture and demographics have played a role in the growing acceptance of homosexuality. She pointed to Obama's support of gay marriage as well as gay rights victories in four state elections this past fall.
There's also the popularity of gay celebrities such as talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
"Who wouldn't want to take their grandmother to see her show?"

One Million Moms: This Is Ridiculous!

'Children desire to be just like superheroes. Children mimic superhero actions and even dress up in costumes to resemble these characters as much as possible. Can you imagine little boys saying, "I want a boyfriend or husband like X-Men?"

'This is ridiculous! Why do adult gay men need comic superheroes as role models? They don't but do want to indoctrinate impressionable young minds by placing these gay characters on pedestals in a positive light. These companies are heavily influencing our youth by using children's superheroes to desensitize and brainwash them in thinking that a gay lifestyle choice is normal and desirable. As Christians, we know that homosexuality is a sin (Romans 1:26-27).

'Unfortunately, children are now being exposed to homosexuality at an early age. Comic books would be one of the last places a parent would expect their child to be confronted with homosexual topics that are too complicated for them to understand. Children do not know what straight, homosexual, or coming out of the closet even means, but DC Comics and Marvel are using superheroes to confuse them on this topic to raise questions and awareness of an alternative lifestyle choice. These companies are prompting a premature discussion on sexual orientation.

'Northstar's wedding will be the first same-sex wedding in the world of mainstream superhero comics, but not the first gay comic books character. Earlier this year One Million Moms emailed Toys 'R' Us concerning the "Life With Archie" No. 16 with two gay characters getting hitched. Toys 'R' Us had the audacity to display "Archie- Just Married" at the front of the store by the checkout counters...'

This American pressure group - famously hopeless at "math" - only seems to get agitated by gay stuff.
Here's their last current issue; 'In Los Angeles, CA, GAP has a billboard located downtown that reads: "GAP- BE BRIGHT- BE ONE" with two homosexual men pressed together under a shared t-shirt. They are hugging each other and facing the camera cheek-to-cheek. "BE ONE" is in large letters which emphasizes the same-sex relationship...'

One Million Moms - or Fifty Thousand Gay Sons, as I prefer to think of them - scored a classic own goal earlier this year when they tried to organise a boycott of JC Penney stores after they chose Ellen DeGeneres to front an ad campaign.

Jodi Pilcoult: No Surprises

Zillion-selling author Jodi Pilcoult has a new book out, Sing You Home.
It's about The Gays and that!
"I actually started writing about this because it was so upsetting to me personally that gay rights is even an issue in this country," she says. "I travel enough to know that it just isn't an issue anywhere else. And they wonder why Americans are so hung up on it. I have so many gay friends and I've known so many gay people over the years. I have gay relatives."
She sure does. Including her 19 year-old son, Kyle.
He came out while Jodi was writing her new book.
Who knew?
"I knew Kyle was gay. I knew when he was 3 that he was gay. But I felt great that he felt comfortable enough with us to come to that conclusion while still in high school and to share it with us..."
And Kyle's coming out gave Sing You Home a sense of urgency.
"It suddenly became more than just a philosophical study. It became the mission of a mother. Because when Kyle is ready to get married and have kids, I don't want him to have to jump through hoops."

Perez Hilton: No More Mr Nasty Gay

Bullying fat-fighting pointless fame slut Perez Hilton says he's going to stop being nasty about celebrities.
Good for him.
"I'm going to do things differently on my website than I have in the past. I'm not going to call people nasty nicknames. I'm not going to go the mean route. I'm going to force myself to be funnier or smarter."
The recent gay teen suicides was Perez's Pauline moment; "From now on I really want to be part of the solution and not part of the problem," he told Ellen DeGeneres.
"I don't want to be a bully. I don't want to be called a bully."
So presumably he'll stop outing gay celebs, and posting private photos of them at it.
Fine.
But isn't this like Amazon saying they're going to stop selling books?
Then what is point?

"Gay", Anderson Cooper and The Dilemma

Here's a story so packed with irony Fagburn might explode.
Huffington Post reports that Universal have deleted a scene from a trailer for new movie, The Dilemma, which opens with Vince Vaughn's opening line; "Ladies and gentlemen, electric cars... are gay".
(For the record - as you can see - the character then clarifies; "I mean, not homosexual, but my-parents-are-chaperoning-the-dance gay”, though I'm not sure what this changes, or indeed means).
The studio announced; "The teaser trailer for The Dilemma was not intended to cause anyone discomfort," the studio statement said. "In light of growing claims that the introduction to the trailer is insensitive, it is being replaced. A full trailer, which has been in the works for some time, will post online later today."
Anderson Cooper - a CNN presenter with a huge profile in the States - had condemned the use of the phrase in the trailer when he appeared on Ellen to talk about the recent gay teen suicides and anti-gay bullying.
"I was shocked that not only that they put it in the movie, but that they put that in the preview. They thought that it was OK to put that in a preview for the movie to get people to go and see it... I just find those words, those terms, we've got to do something to make those words unacceptable cause those words are hurting kids."
As you can see from the cavalcade of comments on this Queerty thread, rather a lot of gay men in the US think there's a glaring incongruity in Mr Cooper condemning homophobia, while appearing to collude with it by keeping one foot in the closet.
Still when he does come out, Cooper's been gifted a great line to break the non-news.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Anderson Cooper... is gay."
