Lib Dem Conference: Live At The Witch Trials

My colleague Nicholas Watt speaks shortly after, making a passing and innocuous reference to "gay marriage"; he is immediately "corrected" by several voices - he should have said "equal marriage", it seems.

Andrew Sparrow live blogging from the Lib Dem conference for The Guardian.
God, some people are boring and sanctimonious.
Is anyone so politically delusional they think policing the use of words will make a difference here?
You see this drivel on Twitter a lot, usually from the usual wet liberal suspects.
I'm a gay man, I write a gay blog, I go to gay bars, I read the gay press - I have no problem with anyone calling it "gay marriage".
It doesn't matter.
