Fagburn: Sunday Service

Heal the sick,
Feed the hungry,
House the homeless,
Help the hopeless.
Turn in all your priests who've been raping kids.

Then get back to me.

  2. There is absolute cognitive dissonance between the sex scandals in the catholic church and the catholic church.

Yet another crack-pot sect that disregards all the evidence produced to date on sex abuse of kids by the catholic church.

It will take over a generation for the catholic church's eventual decline to manifest itself. I happened to look in a church recently during Sunday mass and the church was less than 10% full.

There are still pockets of fierce catholic resistence in the UK such as the Polish, African and Filipino communities. This seems to buoy the catholic church but it will never be enough to stave the flow of people leaving the church.

Last year only 4 priests were ordained in Ireland compared with 60 twenty five years ago.

O'Brien represents nobody in a country poorly disposed to 'catholic-think' and his refusal to talk just demonstrates that the catholic church is still centuries behind along with Islam.

The Scottish Parliament will carry on regardless with legislation for same-sex marriage and I applaud anything that exposes the bigotry of religion today.

These God-Botherers need to think more about goodness than relentlessly focussing on fictitious books, tall tales and a 'white man with a white beard'.

    Pox Eternam!

    3. I shall give your question some thought over the next day and get back to Fagburn Towers with a strategy proposal.

In the meantime, if you haven't read it then get a copy of Malcolm Gladwell's 'Tipping Point' and that tells you everything about creating critical mass.

Just need to treat it like any other strategic plan and identify their Achilles Heel. Bit like Pussy Riot.

Does that mean we end up in prison? :(

I usually prefer just signing e-petitions.

    5. No. My argument is that Pussy Riot is fast becoming Putin's Achilles Heel.

Gladwell argues that we need to make any strategy contagious and sticky.

I'll do the contagious bit if you and Tom Daley do the sticky bit.
