Lest we forget these words of wisdom from our estimable Mayor: "If gay marriage was OK – and I was uncertain on the issue – then I saw no reason in principle why a union should not be consecrated between three men, as well as two men, or indeed three men and a dog".
I feel like all this is just the flipside of their blatant homophobia of recent years. ie. we were used as a punchbag in the late-'80s onwards to get more votes by appealing to ignorance and prejudice (indeed stirring it up), and now I feel like we're being used to show how evolved and compassionate they are (after public opinion moved on long before they did).
I know this is all to the good (Out4Marriage or whatever it's fucking called this week), but it makes me feel a little sick tbh.
Agreed. I support gay marriage mainly cause of the loopy cunts who are against it. But... Have you seen the Beyondmarriage website? Up there, on the right.
