Founded the Homosexual Law Reform Committee - in 1964!
Carried on campaigning, and was president of CHE - though far more radical than that might suggest.
Here's the website, Gay Monitor, he ran with Ray Gosling latterly, which spoke out against S&M witch trials and against made-up gay "child abuse" allegations - two issues which the gay media was all too often silent on.
