There is great vexation today about tonight's Panorama programme, British Schools, Islamic Rules.According to The Daily Mail; "Children in Britain are being taught brutal Sharia law punishments, including how to hack off a criminal’s hand or foot.
"So-called ‘weekend schools’ for Muslim pupils as young as six also teach that the penalty for gay sex is execution and that ‘Zionists’ are plotting to take over the world for the Jews..."
"For acts of ‘sodomy’, children are told that the penalty is death and it states a difference of opinion whether this should be done by stoning, or burning with fire, or throwing over a cliff."
Next week Panorama will expose a book that is used in almost all schools in the UK that says gay men should be put to death - the Bible.

I would have thought hacking a criminal's hand or foot off would be quite a straightforward procedure. Odd that it should requite lessons. Perhaps there's an etiquette to the severing of limbs.
ReplyDeleteTake too much of the wrist off, for instance, and the punishment exceeds the crime.
That difference of opinion about whether we should be stoned to death, burned or thrown off a cliff seems particularly unfair.
What if I'm thrown off a cliff and it's later deemed that this is not the correct way to punish "sodomy".
What happens then?
Do they have to climb down the cliff and set fire to my corpse... and then pelt it with stones just to be sure?
It's a minefield, isn't it?
I'm glad I'm not a religulous nutter.
Mind you, those weekend schools sound a right laugh.
No one does hypocrisy like the Daily Mail.
But why a foot, though?
