There are two pieces in today's Independent on the row over Stonewall's silence on gay marriage.
'Stonewall Is Split by Row About Same-Sex Marriages' by Cahal Milmo.
And an opinion piece by Scott Roberts, news editor of Gaydar Radio, 'Embarrassment for a charity lagging behind public opinion.'
Good stuff - but this was such an obvious story (not least because the straight presss clearly love to see queens bitching like this), that you wonder why this is the first time this row has appeared in one of the nationals, over a month after the open letter to Stonewall was launched.
• Another question you may wish to ponder is why there are no gay media apart from Pink News listed as supporters of the Open Letter To Stonewall?
The letter was started by Andrew Godfrey, a student at University of Southampton, but has been regularly plugged by Pink News and its founder Ben Cohen - were any other gay media asked for their support or is it Ben Cohen's baby?
Maybe others declined to take part, perhaps for fear of offending Stonewall?
Brighton's GScene seems alone in running the letter.
The only other gay media coverage listed on the Why The Silence Stonewall website - apart from a poll on Gaydar Nation - is a news item on PinkPaper.com where Stonewall's Ben Summerskill criticises a (now revised) Pink News report about him.
Let us hope this Open Letter really is open to all.

Lol browsing your old posts and I notice I have my own tag! I'm sure neither you nor anybody else cares by this point, but I can assure you I was busily emailing every gay media outlet I could find (plus the mainstream press) for months with almost no replies. I am also not Ben Cohen, nor did I have his baby.
