Endymion: The Foolish Moon

Endymion was an indolent young shepherd of exceptional beauty.
As he lay sleeping on Mount Latmos, the moon goddess Selene was enchanted by his graceful appearance and instantly fell in love with him.
When the Olympian gods discovered her secret, Zeus offered Endymion perpetual youth on the condition that he remain asleep forever.
Eternally young, forever beautiful, and adored by the foolish moon above, Endymion sleeps on.

Our Tom is doing the eagerly anticipated Daley Ghetto Slut Drop on Children In Need this evening. Please give generously etc.

  1. Or Narcissus, entranced by his own reflection in the media. Good on 'im, I say. I like the guy.

BTW, that photo's a bit creepy.

    1. Narcissus is more appropriate.
Nothing wrong with that, of course.
      Aren't we all... a bit?

  2. Why do you think it's creepy?
    I thought it was sweet.

  3. Looks like some stranger caught him on a train asleep and took a photo of him covertly...or maybe I'm completely misreading this.

Does he know the guy? Either way, it is sweet I guess. He's just as cute asleep.

  6. Love the story and the analogy even if I still think you're chasing rainbows.

    We can but dream.
