Pink News: What A Difference A Day Makes

Erm, have you ever thought about not just regurgitating stories from the mainstream media without checking them?

Independent: Thinking

The Independent.

Looks more like Louis just wore a t-shirt with the old Apple logo on it, actually.

Unless mind-reading is one of this journalist/intern's many talents.

Update: Pop star completely misreads stupid article...

Understandable, as the media are always insinuating one of 1D is A SECRET GAY!

Then the silly journalist replies - and refuses to acknowledge she made the story up!

You couldn't make it up - except they do, all the fucking time.

Tweet Of The Day: Nick Grimshaw

Poor Nick Grimshaw.

The Radio 1 breakfast show host incurred the wrath of One Direction fans when one of his team dared to joke about boybander Louis Tomlinson live on air today, forcing Grimmy to post a Twitter plea begging them to stop trolling him.

During his daily featurette Showquizness, Nick, 29, and his colleagues had to list people who were more annoying than singer Lorde. As you do.

While Nick listed Usher, Joey Essex and (his mate) Kelly Osbourne, his producer Ian Chaloner nominated Louis Tomlinson.

Cue an onslaught of hate tweets...

One Direction: There's Always One, Isn't There?

"Well, statistically speaking, one probably is [gay].
"It's crazy with a market like that because 100 percent is young women. And they fantasize about these guys, and then you have the record label and everyone grooming you to make sure that you don't even mention you have a girlfriend.
"So screw the fact that you're gonna come out as being gay. It ruins their whole business plan."

Lance Bass, the gayer that was in 'N Sync, on One Direction via E! Online.

Maybe.
Probably Louis - she reeks of gay.
Be nice if it was Niall, though.
Anyway, whatever, Fagburn remembers everyone obsessing over which member of Take That was gay, back in the day, and it turns out none of them were.
Statistically speaking, it's far more likely that a boyband's manager's gay, eh Lance?

PS Not much going on at the mo, as you may have David Guest.

You might also ask; would they be surprised? NOPE!
Update2: E! Online's Twitter account was hacked on Saturday and the above in-no-way childish and homophobic message was sent out to its 5.2 million followers.

The Sun: Straight Talking

IF you’re famous and happen to not have a partner for five minutes, chances are the internet rumour mill will creak into gear and the “are they gay?” questions will begin to spread.
Some stars ignore the remarks and refuse to comment on them.
But others eventually snap and set the record straight.

The Sun.

Loving the way The Sun absolves themselves from playing any part in all this palaver by blaming it on "the internet rumour mill".
And I'm not sure it's fair to say any of these celebs "snapped" or "hit back" - they all seemed admirably unflummoxed - even flattered - by the rumours.
It's not like they sued The Face, or The People, or took out a full-page ad in The Times

One Direction: Louis, Louis

The One Direction boys headed to Alan Carr's chat show set yesterday to pre-record an interview with the Chatty Man. They talked about kissing, they talked about they talked about string theory** and they talked about the homosexuality rumours that have been thrown at Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson ever since the dawn of day the term Larry Stylinson was coined.
Alan put on his serious face for a moment, and questioned Louis quite intently about why he appears to get so upset about the rumours.
“I just think it’s really degrading towards her," Louis said - presumably talking about his girlfriend, Eleanor Calder, and not just getting confused about his bandmate's gender...

The Mirror's ever hilarious 3am Girls.
Can't think how those rumours got started, girl.

PS Yup, it's another slow news day. Hey, don't kill the messenger.
