The Pink List 100: Oh, What A World! What A World!

A companion article to The Independent On Sunday's Pink List 100 is headlined; 'More than 70 countries make being gay a crime'.
Emily Dugan writes; "A comprehensive study of global lesbian, bisexual and gay rights, seen by The Independent on Sunday, reveals the brutal – and, in many instances, fatal – price people pay around the globe for their sexuality. The research, which was conducted by the charity network the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA), shows that 76 countries still prosecute people on the grounds of their sexual orientation – seven of which punish same-sex acts with death."
Terrible though this is, the phrase "seen by The Independent on Sunday" makes it sound like some top secret samizdat document, or at least that the Sindy's been given an exclusive preview of some new research.
In fact ILGA's report, 'State-sponsored Homophobia: A world survey of laws prohibiting same sex activity between consenting adults' (4th edition), was published in May, and is freely available to download and read on the ILGA website here.
