Conference Pride: Tories Help Unemployed Actor Back To Work
Details have just been announced of this year's Tory Conference Pride
"Following the success of our first ever official conference gay night in Manchester, we're delighted to announce that Conference Pride is coming to Birmingham."
How very interesting. Tell me more. "Enjoy a fabulous three-course dinner with half a bottle of wine and music by professional pianist Carl Joseph. The ticket price includes entrance to the club night, so you can carry on partying with fellow Conservatives until the small hours."
But wait, there's more - a club night at a "disco" as gay Tories almost certainly still call them; "Adam Rickett [sic] will host the evening at Nightingales, Birmingham's top gay club, and there will be appearances from Cabinet Members and high-profile MPs. As well as great music and a lively atmosphere, there will be a live performance by Mica Paris, and outdoor terraces to relax on."
Adam Rickitt! No way. I'd been wondering what happened to him.
Who can ever forget his braindead performance on Question Time in 2006? Christ, he was even more embarrassing than Ivan Massow. I just hope they spell his name right on the posters.
The Nightingale looks like the perfect choice of venue to host a party for the Conservative Party - only last week they announced they'll be making staff redundant.

As Alan Duncan has demonstrated, if you're useless but ambitious become a token gay Tory and rise way beyond your abilities would otherwise take you.
