Tom Bosworth: Sorry, Who?

Rio 2016 hopeful Tom Bosworth has become only the second British track and field athlete to openly say he is gay.

Bosworth is the British No.1 race walker over 20km and British record holder over 5km and 10km.

Former British No.1 hurdler Robert Newton, who competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, was the first.

Speaking on the Victoria Derbyshire show, Bosworth said: "It is a big decision, but it's not going to change my life. I'm comfortable and have been in a happy relationship for the last four or five years.

"I guess it is still news, but in a few years time, anyone [will be able] to do this. It's a scary thing, but I'm really lucky." ...

Mirror.

Mirror.

So brave etc etc.

PS From BBC News LOL! Extremely disappointing lack of 'Gays And Sports - The last taboo' articles.
