The Daily Mail.
And here's Melanie Phillips in the same paper today arguing; 'Why failing to stand up for marriage is the reason Tories are always in crisis.'
The Mail's run endless pieces like that.
Here's the Mail last Saturday; David Cameron is facing a backlash over his support for gay marriage from within his own party as members desert Tory ranks in droves, it emerged today.
Make up your mind - is gay marriage a vote loser, or are most people "Not actually that bothered, really"?
Apart from the 3% of voters who are so bigoted and so fucking thick that they technically shouldn't be allowed to vote?

What I find insulting is that the Mail think we would stoop as low their editors, and wear informal dinner dress at a wedding...
ReplyDeleteOnce this passes, I'll have to spend so much time and energy turning down marriage proposals from sexy hot dudes. No thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteI've had enough of all this; ban marriage for everybody and treat people as individuals in their own right. Let marriage be nothing more than a ceremony with no consequences attached to it that certain religions may or may not perform. Dish out privileges to couples-gay or heterosexual- who adopt/naturally produce children as, without sounding to sound mawkish, we need the kids to ensure a future. On a separate note, the tories are still hateful wankers.
ReplyDeleteActually, with the total focus on the bigots, the real issue seems to have gone unnoticed: the fact of how stupid all this marriage bollocks is in a country where most people are non-religious and how much of the debate has been hijacked by... religiomous folks!
