Could this be the photographic scoop of the year?
And apart from that it wasn't George, but another man who was driving who was airlifted to hospital, what a story.

"The singer, who shot to fame as a member of the pop group Wham! in the 1980s, was flown by air ambulance to a specialist trauma centre in London with a suspected head injury. The crash occurred on the northbound carriageway near junction 6a in St Albans, Hertfordshire, at 5.50pm last night. No other vehicles were involved in the accident."

PS Reports of George Michael's numerous car crashes and health scares are notoriously unreliable and often contradict each other, but he appears to have had only minor cut and bruises, and may have left hospital.

Correction: The Sun has said George was airlifted to hospital. Their rivals, the Mirror, has run some stories with quotes from Connie Filippello, his PR, saying he hadn't. Both versions have been picked up by various media. Apologies for jumping in on one side.
