Ukip: The Second Time As...

UKIP descended into farce last night after the party suspended its former Deputy Chair for six months - for slamming a colleague who once compared gays to Nazis.

Suzanne Evans – who helped write the 2015 Election Manifesto – was dumped yesterday in the latest twist to a vicious civil war blazing in the right-wing group.

UKIP said she had been suspended for “publicly criticising a fellow candidate”.

She last month criticised Alan Craig – a candidate for the London Assembly – for advocating ‘gay cure’ therapy.

But insiders said it appeared she was paying the price for daring to challenge UKIP chief Nigel Farage.

Ms Evans – who went to the High Court yesterday in an attempt to challenge the suspension – is a supporter of Vote Leave.

She added: “I will look to take up whatever right of appeal is open to me.” ...

The Sun.

Of course, if you're in the Conservative Party and believe in 'gay cure' therapy, they make you Work And Pensions Secretary.

Farage On Friday: Unacceptable Bigotry

There seems be a new modern phenomenon in British politics that no matter how nasty, there is no level of prejudice that is unacceptable as long as it is directed against UKIP.

Indeed, the party has been banned, outlawed in fact from attending the London Gay Pride Parade, which I was under the impression was about standing for tolerance rather than censorship and hate.

When a Baptist Minister who was a mere local UKIP town councillor in Henley said last January that floods were caused by gay marriage, it was a national story.

This man’s personal views ran on the BBC and pretty much everywhere else too as some sort of representation of UKIP as a whole.

This follows 20 years where he had been a member of the Conservative Party and had been saying the same things.

As a Conservative however, his comments never even touched the radar screen.

This gentleman’s individual views were used by the media purely as another justification to scapegoat UKIP as being somehow extreme.

Well, I’ve got some bad news for the metropolitan elite.

I’m very sorry not to confirm their prejudices, but UKIP has many gay members.

Clever wordplay! LGBTQ* In Ukip on Facebook!
We’ve just confirmed our new Deputy Mayor of Ramsgate who is transgender.

Our Scottish MEP David Coburn is openly gay.

The party also has an established LGBT group headed by Flo Lewis, who I shared a drink or two with after she spoke at UKIP’s South East Conference in Eastbourne just last weekend.

And yet, we have the case of Kellie Maloney who in the past stood as our London Mayoral candidate in 2004 and as a parliamentary candidate in 2010.

I was happy to meet with Kellie last year and indeed I invited her to come and speak at our Spring Conference in Margate.

Strangely, during the course of the General Election campaign, Kellie went on to give an interview to Sky News in which she said UKIP was a wasted vote.

Suddenly she was of the view that people should vote Conservative and not for the party whose conference she had just attended and spoken at.

I wondered why. Then I found out that Kellie came under a huge amount of pressure and indeed abuse from some in the LGBT community for her links with UKIP.

This seems to explain her subsequent actions.

This illustrates once again the wider attempt by segments of the media and the political class to incite hatred against UKIP.

I would go as far to say that the deliberate attempt to whip up animosity towards some of our members and candidates is one of the most disgusting elements of British politics today.

There remains bigotry and sometimes even racism against people in Britain today that is simply unacceptable.

Sadly, some of this is being suffered by ordinary decent folk simply for supporting UKIP.

The latest installment of Nigel's unmissable Daily Express column.

Can you see what he did there?

Check the reader comments below it to forever dispel the myth that Ukip is a right-wing nutter magnet.

The more Nige tries to qualify UKIP is not homophobic and racist the more ammunition he gives the leftie soap dodgers and gay mafia just ignore the unpatriotic bigoted Anglophobic traitors. etc etc.

PS Oooh look, and here's what Katie Hopkins thinks about this exciting debate! Oh, do wank off.

Nigel Farage: It's The Way He Tells 'Em

Naughty Nigel enjoying a nice fag.
Nigel Farage was last night accused of homophobia after footage emerged of him making a joke about ‘fags’ in a best man speech.

The Ukip leader’s final hours of election campaigning were overshadowed by the release of the video of his brother’s wedding.

The singer Rod Stewart, who was a guest at the July 2001 wedding, appeared visibly uncomfortable after Mr Farage used the word ‘fags’ as part of a joke about the death of a man at Michael Barrymore’s house, which happened months earlier.

Mr Farage yesterday pulled out of a planned visit to a bingo hall shortly after he was contacted by the Mail about the film.

He claimed that he had intended ‘no malice’ with the joke, but did not apologise...

Mr Farage, who appears much younger in the video with a full head of black hair, says that he would like to start the speech with some ‘housekeeping’.

He said: ‘As far as smokers here are concerned there’s good news and bad news for you. The bad news was we were not allowed to smoke until the coffee was served.

‘But the good news for us who are smokers is that we are far better off here than if we had been at Michael Barrymore’s house.

‘Because there they removed all the ashtrays on the basis that now they chuck all the fags in the pool.’

Now this is funny.

Not Nigel Farage's joke about the death of a gay man, obvs.

How long have the Mail been sitting on this video?

And was it released now as a final pre-election bombshell?

And did they think this would turn their readers off Farage, rather than warm to him even more?

And finally, you may want to read this Observer interview with Barrymore from 2002, where he attacks his 'trial by tabloid'.

General Election 2015: Those Celebrity Gay Backers In Full

Conservatives: Christopher Biggins.

Only patron of LGBTory who's not an MP!

Though they can also count on Ivan Massow and David Starkey*, too!

What a right bunch of right-wing gay cunts, eh?

Lib Dems: Patrick Smugtwit?

Probably.

He is Britain's most boring wet liberal poove.

Green: Peter Tatchell.

And who better to dispel the myth that the Greens are all a bit nutty, than the publicity shy campaigning celeb?

Pete's probably said somewhere that he founded the Green Party, if not Planet Earth itself.

Bless.

Labour: Owen Jones.

No, really, he is. Trust me on this one.

SNP: Alan Cumming.

Was often wheeled out during the 'Yes!' campaign.

But like their most famous celeb supporter, Sean Connery, Mr Cumming is an ex-pat. Oops!

'England for the English...' etc etc.

Ukip: Morrissey.

"I nearly voted for Ukip. I like Nigel Farage a great deal," he told Loaded in 2013.

"His views are quite logical – especially where Europe is concerned."

And La Mozza's views are highly logical, too.

She loves England so much she's spent much of the last 20 years living abroad in tax exile, cos it's been flooded with foreigners, innit?

Silly old queen.

* Dr Starkey threatened to do a big queeny flounce and leave the country if Cameron didn't win the 2010 General Election. Paul O'Grady - a man Fagburn much admires - has said he'll leave if the Tories win again this time. It's usually the most unbearable right-wing shits who do this - I am unaware if anyone has actually carried it out.

PS If you decide how to vote because of something a famous person has said, may I implore you not to vote tomorrow?

Update: Undecided/Undeclared - Will Young. Former politics student Will Nice-But-Dim offered his astute analysis to Digital Spy; 'I don't know, it'll be a hung parliament and it all just feels like a wet fart.'

Frida: I *HEART* The 70s

“My motto is to live in peace and respect all the different religions, people’s sexualities and ethnic origins.

"I cannot tolerate people who harm others in the name of religion and I salute all those who stand up for free speech and differences of opinion.”

Not quite sure why they've put her on the front page today, her 70th birthday's not til November.

Might have lost some of its poetry in the translation.

Still, a beautiful thought - and one that Fagburn is sure is shared by everyone at the Express, Richard Desmond and his new BFF, Nigel Farage.

Ukip: A Little Bit Special

A Ukip spokesman has defended the decision and said: “Ukip believe absolutely in equality, and as such have produced a manifesto for all, rather than driven by the needs of differing special interest groups." ...

Apart from that very special interest group of bigoted, straight, white, middle class English men, of course.

Election 2015: Snog Marry Avoid?

The tension's mounting as the main parties General Election campaigns gear up in earnest. So what better time to ask the classic question: Snog, marry or avoid? Or vote for?
...

Surprisingly, twice as many men (10.1%) would marry Farage than women (5.5%) - that also happened in the "snog" category.

Mirror.

Snog Nigel? You just know his breath stinks of dead men's farts.

Nigel Farage: Out Demon Out!

The privately educated, City-trading, four-times-an-MEP, expenses-addicted, pin-striped-suit-wearing Nigel Farage thrives on presenting himself as the doughty outsider, fighting for common sense against an out-of-touch elite. He also knows that controversy produces publicity and Ukip desperately needs that to slow that opinion poll slide - not least in South Thanet, which is Mr Farage’s increasingly uphill route to becoming an MP.

Much of Britain might have been appalled at Mr Farage’s scapegoating rhetoric, but a whopping 96 per cent of Ukip voters told YouGov that Mr Farage was right to raise the issue of immigrants suffering from HIV using the NHS. Nearly two thirds of Tory voters also thought he was justified.

Because Nigel Farage takes so many more votes from the Conservatives than Labour he is doing most harm to David Cameron, but his strategy is also harming the greater cause that Ukip was set up to win. Support for staying in the EU is rising steadily. This is mainly because the worst of the eurozone crisis has, hopefully, passed but Ukip’s toxicity with a clear majority of voters isn’t helping.

“Out” will only win if younger voters can be persuaded that there is wisdom in unshackling Britain from the protectionist, declining and bureaucratic European model. But when the leading Outers in the country are perceived as anti-gay, anti-immigrant and pro-Putin
[sic], the ultimate winner of the Ukip phenomenon could well be Brussels.

What a colossal cunt this cunting cunt is.

PS Ukip muzzles foot-in-mouth candidates by ordering them to avoid discussing RSPCA and moral issues Mirror. Good luck with that...

Gay Marriage Poll: Rilly? You Surprise Me!

There's a big - and strangely generous - profile of Nigel Farage in The Observer.

YOUTH RAGE! YOUTH VIOLENCE! YOUTH ORGASMS! FEAR OF A GAY UNDERCLASS! ARMED - DANGEROUS - SICK FUCKS

Question Time: That's Entertainment

They were standing under a tree, each with an arm round the other's neck, and Alice knew which was which in a moment, because one of them had "DUM" embroidered on his collar, and the other "DEE". 'I suppose they've each got "TWEEDLE" round at the back of the collar,' she said to herself.

They stood so still that she quite forgot they were alive, and she was just going round to see if the word "TWEEDLE" was written at the back of each collar, when she was startled by a voice coming from the one marked "DUM".

'If you think we're wax-works,' he said, 'you ought to pay, you know. Wax-works weren't made to be looked at for nothing. Nohow.'

'Contrariwise,' added the one marked "DEE", 'if you think we're alive, you ought to speak.'

'I'm sure I'm very sorry,' was all Alice could say; for the words of the old song kept ringing through her head like the ticking of a clock, and she could hardly help saying them out loud:

Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Agreed to have a battle!
For Tweedledum said Tweedledee
Had spoiled his nice new rattle.

Just then flew down a monstrous crow,
As black as a tar-barrel!
Which frightened both the heroes so,
They quite forgot their quarrel.'

'I know what you're thinking about,' said Tweedledum; 'but it isn't so, nohow.'

'Contrariwise,' continued Tweedledee, 'if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.'

'I was thinking,' Alice said politely, 'which is the best way out of this wood: it's getting so dark. Would you tell me, please?'

But the fat little men only looked at each other and grinned.

Pink News: Ukip News

Admittedly, there's rather a lot to write about Ukip and homophobia.

But Pink News do seem to write about Ukip rather a lot.

And whilst Fagburn likes to see the piss taken out of Ukippers, the 'Ukip thought Westminster Cathedral was a mosque' story has about as much relevance to a gay news site as one saying 'Ukip is made-up of four letters'.

Fagburn calls this 'gay media extremism'; maybe they concentrate on far-right political extremists, raving religious fundamentalists etc, to cover up how cosy and fandabedozee they are with the political mainstream.

Just a thought.

Fagburn: I'm Still Here

Sincere apologies - Fagburn was called away to London by the spirit voice of Regina Fong to see a young engineer of his acquaintance, and a transvestite potter.

He is now going through the last few days' papers to see what - if anything - of interest and import he missed.

These - again, if there are actually any - will be retroactively posted below on the day of publication.

PS This amusing/disturbing/sacrilegious/erotic/transphobic photomontage illustrates a silly article in today's Guardian; Tony Benn – the new face of the Tories No wonder our Thatcherite prime minister can’t win over much of his party on the European Union. They’re closet Bennites

Of course, that 'politician is Thatcher in drag' meme/trope will never get old...
