Jeremy Corbyn: On Langston Hughes

As the great American poet Langston Hughes put it: “I see that my own hands can make the world that’s in my mind”.

PS JC tells Theresa May to read Oscar Wilde's De Profundis. So glad we've got a socialist literary fag hag leading the Labour Party. It feels like home again now. x

Jeremy Corbyn: Sex

Independent Voices - a school magazine would have rejected this twaddle.

Here's Team Jeremy's Proud Of Our Diversity.

Won't critique it til he wins on Saturday.

Did I tell you I've kissed him?

Jeremy Corbyn: The Movie

Directed by Ken Loach.

According to the  ever hopeless Huffington Post this lasts eight minutes (They only watched the trailer)

Labour: The Gay Divorce

Peter Brookes, The Times.

I hate Tom Watson so much.

Panorama: Labour - Is The Party Over?

Hilariously this programme is set in Brighton (& Hove), where the NEC has shut down the CLP for supporting Corbyn.

Jeremy Corbyn: Pink News Q&A!

Politely answering some ever more baffling questions from the gay Tories who read Pink News.

Note how Ben Cohen - dressed up like a member of The Four Seasons - doesn't let his esteemed journalists conduct the interview. *

Good to hear Ben defend male rapists in Iran, though.

I love Jezza so much.

* The wonderfully thick Joe Williams does take some questions from the floor.

This man is a cock and a cunt and a CIA/MI5 stooge.

Angela Eagle: Mad As A Lorry

Jeremy Corbyn: & Me

I have just been to see JC at the Brighton Hilton Metropole Hotel.

I embraced him and kissed the back of his neck as he walked past.

'Ah, thanks', he said.

I love this man so much.

PS Fagburn is proud to be a member of Brighton & Hove Labour Party, the biggest in the country, but now suspended for being too left-wing.

Owen Jones: Blairite Traitor

Evening Standard.
Labour faces an existential crisis. There will be those who prefer me to just to say: all the problems that exist are the fault of the mainstream media and the Parliamentary Labour Party, and to be whipped up with the passions generated by mass rallies across the country. But these are the facts as I see them, and the questions that have to be answered. There are some who seem to believe seeking power is somehow ‘Blairite’. It is Blairite to seek power to introduce Blairite policies. It is socialist to seek power to introduce socialist policies. As things stand, all the evidence suggests that Labour — and the left as a whole — is on the cusp of a total disaster. Many of you won’t thank me now. But what will you say when you see the exit poll at the next general election and Labour is set to be wiped out as a political force? What will you say when — whenever you mention anything vaguely left-wing, you’re mocked for the rest of your life, a throwback to the discredited Labour era of the 2010s? Will you just comfort yourself by blaming it on the mainstream media and the PLP? Will that get you through a lifetime of Tory rule? My questions may strike you as unhelpful or uncomfortable. I’m beyond caring. Call me a Blairite, Tory, Establishment stooge, careerist, sellout, whatever makes you feel better. The situation is extremely grave and unless satisfactory answers are offered, we are nothing but the accomplices of the very people we oppose.

OJ's blog.

Ok. You're a Blairite, Tory, Establishment stooge, careerist, sellout.

Feel better now.

Angela Eagle: Untrue

Angela Eagle homophobia claims ‘completely untrue’

The out Labour MP had allegedly faced ‘harassment’ and ‘intimidation’ from Jeremy Corbyn supporters.

Several members of Angela Eagle’s constituency party have hit back at claims of homophobia made last week.

Speaking on Daily Politics [July 5th], Baroness Tessa Jowell said members of Labour’s Parliamentary Party had been subjected to “intimidation, abuse and fear” in the wake of a recent vote of no confidence in Mr Corbyn. *

She also claimed that Ms Eagle had suffered anti-gay abuse from members of the pro-Corbyn group Momentum at a constituency meeting in Wallasey.

“I spoke to Angela about her meeting,” Baroness Jowell said. “She faced homophobic abuse at that meeting.”

However, several of those who attended the meeting have refuted the accusation – claiming that Ms Eagle was not even at the meeting in question.

Kathy Runswick – Chair of the Wallasey Constituency – told Pink News that the allegation was “completely untrue”.

“Angela Eagle was not at the Wallasey Labour Party AGM and thus could not have ‘faced homophobic abuse’,” she added....

Ms Runswick also claimed that “when the meeting took place, Angela was still in the Shadow Cabinet, and was apparently fully supportive of Jeremy Corbyn..."

Pink News.

* I think only Pink News published this fiction - but in quote marks and with an 'allegedly'.

Whatever, this episode shows how Corbyn is clearly being smeared to buggery.

PS I'm sure Eagle does get a lot of homophobic abuse, I just doubt it's coming from supporters of Corbyn.

Bianca Jagger: Oops!

The human rights campaigner started a Twitter storm after sharing a list of MPs who voted in favour of the Iraq War in 2003 in an effort to support current Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Bianca wrote: "List of UK #MPs who voted for #IraqWar - Please read it carefully, understand why they want @jeremycorbyn out RT."

However, when the former model's followers clicked through the attached link, it didn't direct to a Wikipedia list, but a webpage for a far-right encyclopaedia with vile and hugely offensive descriptions of Labour and Conservative representatives.

Next to Tottenham MP David Lammy's name, the editor wrote: "Negro", while Bethnal Green & Bow's Oona King was described as "Judeo-Negress".

Rhondda's Chris Bryant was described as: "Infamous homosexual exhibitionist, brags about loving 'rimming' and 'fisting'. Connected to Labour Friends of Israel."

And in the notes next to Crosby's Claire Curtis-Thomas, it read: "Married to a Jew."

Other MPs were described as "Jews", "openly homosexual" and "feminist nuts"...

Angela Eagle: Is Evil

Supported the Iraq War, tuition fees, the smoking ban, bombing Syria, renewing Trident and cuts to working tax credits etc etc.

Just look at her evil dead-eyed death stare.

Wonderfully uncritical reports in the gay media as - whooh! - she is a lesbian (and lgbt politicians are always so great).

Pride: Killing Corbyn

The Guardian.
A couple of days earlier, in common with other corporate news media, the BBC pushed a manufactured story about Corbyn being heckled at Gay Pride. The staged incident was also given significant coverage on ITN and Sky News, and even front-page treatment in the Guardian. In fact, as Craig Murray observed, the 'heckler' turned out to be Tom Mauchline who works for the public relations firm Portland Communications. Mauchline had also previously worked on the Liz Kendall campaign for the Labour leadership. Portland's 'strategic counsel' is the notorious Alastair Campbell, Blair's former media chief who helped to sell the illegal invasion-occupation of Iraq. None of this was spelled out in the Guardian report by Heather Stewart, the paper's political editor. Instead, there was a single cryptic line that concealed more than it delivered:

'Allies of the Labour leader said the confrontation at Pride had been staged by anti-Corbyn activists who were attempting to undermine the leader's position'.

There was no further explanation or context. When challenged on Twitter, Stewart responded:

'Story makes clear it was regarded as staged by Corbyn backers; but if part of plot to destabilise him it's news.'

This was a facile reply. Craig Murray himself then asked her:

'1) why does it not make clear that Mauchline is a PR man for Portland Comms? 2) How did you become aware of the story?'

As far as we can see, the Guardian's political editor simply ignored the awkward questions.

Nothing of much interest today.
