David LeCours met the Womanizer hitmaker before her concert in Las Vegas last week (ends24Aug14) and he handed her a letter thanking her for helping him come to terms with his sexuality and giving him the courage to tell his family and friends.

On Tuesday (26Aug14), a heartwarming letter of reply, written by Spears, arrived at LeCours' home.

The singer wrote, "I was so happy to receive your letter. I was very happy to hear about how courageous you've been about being openly gay. I've always been told as long as you know in your heart that's what matter most (sic)...

"I try to follow my heart and dreams every day of my life and I think that's why I am where I am today. It means so much to me to have a fan like you who takes the time to sit and write me such a touching letter. Your letter was both touching and sincere. I wish you nothing but the best in the future and hope you keep smiling. Shine bright always, Britney Spears."

LeCours adds on Instagram.com, "I honestly have no words at all....' [Sadly, this proves untrue]... 'I just want to thank you so much for taking the time to write me back and being such an amazing inspiration to me. You mean more than anything to me and it means more than you know for responding to me. Thank you so much, I love you."

STEPS have revealed one of the reasons for their bitter split ten years ago — BRITNEY SPEARS.
The band's Ian "H" Watkins hit it off with the singer when they supported her Baby One More Time tour in the US during 1999.
He began flying to venues in the star's private jet while his bandmates slummed it on a bus.
In a new Sky Living series that starts tonight, Lisa Scott-Lee brands gay H "diva-ish".
She said: "It got people's backs up."
And things got worse when Claire Richards revealed H had been secretly dating the band's manager Tim Byrne.

80s has-been Mike Stock wades into the debate du jour with an open letter to Ofcom.
Hardly surprising - Mr Stock (of him, Aitken & Waterman fame) kickstarted this silly "debate" last August with this bizarre outburst;
"These days you can't watch modern stars - like Britney Spears or Lady Gaga - with a two-year-old.
"Ninety-nine per cent of the charts is R 'n' B and 99 per cent of that is soft pornography."
At the risk of repeating myself, here's what I wrote at the time explaining why Mike "Sam Fox" Stock is a hypocrite, a wanker, a fucktard and a total and utter bell-end.
The Mirror's report has just gone online and is but of course illustrated with a photo of Rihanna's crotch and two of Lady Gaga in a see-through dress.

The Only Way Is Essex: Harry's Game

Fucking hell! It's only Harry Derbidge from The Only Way Is Essex!

The ITV2 promotional machine has gone into overdrive before the new series starts on Sunday.
He was only supposed to make a quick cameo in the last series but Harry and his string of hilarious catchphrases ("Shut up!!!" "Beautiful" "Shut that door!" etc etc) proved such a hit they're moving him centre-stage.
This bizzaro photo is from a shoot for Star magazine and has been picked up by the tabloids today - most of them drooling over the 16 year-old "camp star".
A sub at the Daily Star may be doing a bit more than drooling - they gave it the headline; 'Camp Harry Derbridge A Brit Of Alright'.
(The sub was clearly so excited they also spelt Harry's surname wrong).
Apparently he's going out with a pop star. Harry won't yet reveal who it is, but has said he's in a band.
It's probably the gay one in The Wanted then.
Harry told the Star; "I’m cool with being different. Paul O’Grady called me an inspiration to young gay guys as I was so out there with my sexuality. I like to feel I’m a role model."
And to prove it Harry's done an It Gets Better Today video for Stonewall.
