OK, but let's make use of the right while it's in this mood instead of keeping it at a distance with our bargepoles because it isn't sincere.
I'm sorry but someone possessing the good sense to make such a comment is hereby banned from reading this blog. Lets carry on fiddling while the gays are beaten up, because we either don't like the people protesting or the type of protest.
DeleteI disagree, We should never make use of or get into bed with the right. They only care about us when it's politically expedient for them to do so.
DeleteIn other words, were if ever the case that it's no longer expedient for them to support gay rights, they'd switch back to their true colours.
The Left, on the other hand, supported gay rights (in the UK) decades before it was politically expedient for them to have done so.
That's the difference: the principles of the latter and the cynical opportunism of the former.
We don't need the right. We don;t need Google. All the great strides we've made in the last 100 years in gay rights have been through our own hard work and sacrifices.
We need to take the issues that truly matter to us and fight for them ourselves, while rejecting all cynical, hypocritical attempts to align themselves with our long fought-for gains, once many of those gains have largely been achieved by us and us alone.
Fuck the right. Reject them at every turn. They don't give a fuck about us and they never will...
I just switched to bing. Boycotting is fun!
