Kissing Coppers, a life-size black and white graffiti work showing two policemen kissing, was sold to an anonymous buyer in Miami, Florida for for $575,000 dollars (£345,000).
The artwork was spray-painted onto the side of the Prince Albert pub in Trafalgar Street near Brighton city centre in 2004.
The original was replaced with a replica encased in perspex after being carefully removed and flown to America in 2011, the Argus reported.
Daily Mirror.
The 'original' was vandalised then 'restored' and 'removed' in 2011. ^^^
It is unknown if this was done by a homophobe or an art lover.
