Former Coronation Street actor Andrew Lancel today admitted playing
games of ‘show and tell’ with his private parts with other men at
parties.
The TV star denied ever having any sexual contact with
‘minors’, a jury heard, but had ‘dabbled’ with homosexuality when he was
younger.
The 42-year-old celebrity is accused of performing six
sex acts on a boy when he was 14 and 15, in 1993 and 1994.
Lancel,
who is married to dancer Louise Edge, agreed he had regularly ‘got his
knob out’ in the past because it was a ‘Bohemian time.’
And the
former star of The Bill, who is accused of massaging the underage boy at
his Southport home in Merseyside, before sexually molesting him,
revealed rub-downs were commonplace at the Coronation Street studios in
Manchester.
In his police interview, the ex-Heartbeat performer
conceded: “I’ve got my knob out, for want of a better word, on many
occasions. Maybe I shouldn’t have.
“I have been around for a long
time, you know. I’m 42 so I’m not going to lie and say I haven’t
dabbled.”
Lancel admitted giving male friends massages but said he
was not a “specialist” - adding: “If you walk into the green room of
Coronation Street you see people giving each other a massage. It is not
unusual."
Daily Mirror.
Fagburn is proud to live in a country where this nonsense could come to court.
Update: The jury took just 29 minutes to clear Lancel.
