Cutest Couple: Because Sentimental Crap About "Adorable" Gay Teens Makes The World Go Round

High school's 'Cutest Couple' is two (very cute) boys

'Cutest Couple' voters at Carmel High School in New York overwhelmingly chose a gay couple as 'cutest' in the school. The young men say they're getting teased for their internet fame, but not for their relationship.
The gay couple's selection — a first at Carmel High — has become an online sensation, driven by a yearbook photo of the smiling boys in a close embrace. A friend's blog with the photo had more than 110,000 hits Monday, and it was cited in stories on several major news sites.

Everywhere on the internet.
Scuse me while I kiss my puke.

PS They're both fugly.

  2. One thing I notice about you is that you're always knocking things down. You're very rarely (well these days) putting forward solutions or suggesting alternatives to what people are doing. I know your blog is your own idiosyncratic wonderland, but if we can't take something positive from what we read then what can we do? Admittedly, through being a long-term reader of you, I did question this, but really what harm is it doing? Have you now resorted to trolling, or is there nothing you have to really direct your energy against? Part of me suspects the banality of the gay wedding debate has worn you out a teeny-weeny bit.

  4. It was really mean of you to call them fugly. I'm telling.

  5. I think the article means you are pandering to a heterosexual stereotype of being gay and being false about it.

  6. There's a difference between seeing through bullshit, and being contrarian for the sake of it.

The first is why we read you. The second is spiteful and boring.

    1. Okay. So tell me why this is a story.

    2. It isn't. I didn't say it was.

The issue here is how you're reporting, not what you're reporting.

  7. It's sweet. It is sweet that these kids can do this. Lots of us didnt and couldnt and wish we could have. It hasnt changed the world but it is nice. Its not a 'story', its just something nice to read.

It cant be that everything everything is a call to revolution. Let us have the occasional, sentimental moment. LOVE YOU
