Mrs Bachmann won the Ames straw poll of Republican wannabe presidential candidates in Iowa last night - a key marker of their popularity with party members.
This evangelical Christain nutjob is the preferred candidate of Tea Party crazies - and she seems incapable of talking without doing a bit of gaybashing.
She endlessly bangs on about homosexuality ("It's part of Satan", apparently) and gay marriage - naturally she wibbled on about it last night.
Her screaming hubby Marcus runs a Christian "Pray The Gay Away" conversion clinic - "Is he curing them so he can hoard all the gayness for himself?”, Jon Stewart asked yesterday ina brilliant demolition job on the Bachmann's homo-obsession.
And she's just told CNN she'd reinstate Don't Ask Don't Tell if she was president;
"The ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy has worked very well. I would be in consultation with our commanders but yes, I probably will.”
The lady is crazy.
