I'm pretty sure there's no way of knowing if what I see as "red", say, is what anyone else sees as "red". We've all been taught from a young age what "red" is by pointing to a red rose and then telling us "RED!" - so we all associate whatever we see as "red", but someone else may see red as I see yellow and so on...
