Textbook Tabloidese: Cops Probe Drug Shame Bank Boss

Odd that the Daily Mirror thinks it's newsworthy that the police want to question someone who's been apparently caught in the act of committing a crime.
Even an arcane and silly victimless crime.
The only new info the Mirror story has is that Flowers "is in hiding" ie they don't know have a clue  where he is.
Poor sod...

• Romps, Tots and Boffins: The strange language of news by Robert Hutton. One of Fagburn's favourite books of the the year.

Update: Pink News finally got round to reporting the Mail on Sunday's story on Monday afternoon. ^^^
Not foregrounding it with any mention of the Mail's crappy sting, or expressing any sympathy for their gay victim, but giving it an even more sensationalist "Gay sex and drugs! Shock horror!" spin.
Astoundingly poor.

PS Presumably everyone at Pink News would hate being invited to a "two day drug-fuelled gay orgy"...

  1. Of course people at PinkNews would hate being invited to a two day drug fuelled gay orgy. Drugs are illegal.
