McDonald's Ad: Gay Teen Likes Fresh Meat, Buns


The world can barely contain its excitement that "McDonald's has released its first advert targeting gay men," as The Daily Telegraph reported breathlessly.
The French ad - which has already racked up almost a million views on YouTube - shows a young man sitting in McDonald's furtively phoning his boyfriend while his pere is off buying some delicious cow burgers.
Is it really targeting gay men or just, you know, people in general?
Titled 'Come As You Are', McDonald's say the ad is just meant to show that they "welcome people from all walks of life".
Yup, they'll even serve les pieds.
And their homophobic parents, too!
Sacre bleu!
And "controversial" campaigns like this are a proven surefire way of garnering acres of free press and publicity - a process that Fagburn is of course now happily colluding in.
It also shows just how super doopy and groovy the animal slaughtering, union banning, worker screwing, children exploiting, poison peddling, rainforest destroying multinational really is, after all that embarrassing McLibel business proved extremely bad for business.
One wonders how the ad would play in the states.
Well, it almost certainly wouldn't.
Over there in 2008 the corporation unjoined the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce as a "corporate partner" following a boycott by Christian nutters.
McDonalds assured the poor, deluded fools that; "It is our policy to not be involved in political and social issues. McDonald's remains neutral on same sex marriage or any 'homosexual agenda' as defined by the American Family Association."
Anyway, why not show your appreciation of the fact that they now clearly and unequivocally love the gays by screwing over your local McDonald's?
