Hoax Watch: Years & Years
A fan tweeted this to Years & Years' Olly Alexander.
Many people said how silly it was to think there could be a category of music called 'Gay'.
Fin.
PS I think the fan who tweeted this may have just been 'avin' a larf, but Fagburn is reminded of the hoax last year where someone claimed to have found some Gun Oil anal lube in the guns section of an Alabama Walmart, though if you watch the video he'd rather obviously just put it there.
Many people said how silly it was to think there could be a category of music called 'Gay'.
There isn't - if you look, someone has just placed some CDs in the DVD section.
Fin.

Hoax Watch: I'm So So Sorry
| Photo chosen cause of hilarious black block. |
Jordan Brown of Austin dropped the suit and issued an apology on Monday. Brown said he was "wrong to pursue this matter and use the media to perpetuate this story."
Whole Foods vigorously denied the allegation when Brown first came forward in April. The Austin American Statesman reports the company released surveillance video that it said showed Brown was lying and filed a counter suit against him.
The company said in a statement Monday that given Brown's apology and public admission his story was false, it sees "no reason" to move forward with its lawsuit.
ABC News.
And on that bombshell...
PS As before, the interesting thing about this is that it's the first 'Cry homophobia!' hoax the gay/GBH media didn't fall for.
But then I think they only heard about it after Whole Foods countersued...

Hoax Watch: Love Wins, Fag Loses
Whole Foods is suing a gay Texas pastor who accused the chain of selling him a customized cake with the homophobic slur "fag" written on it.
The company is seeking $10,000 in damages because they claim Jordan Brown acted "with malice, and he has damaged the reputation and business of WFM.”
Brown published a video on Monday that claimed he requested a custom cake from a Whole Foods in Austin with "Love Wins" written on it, and that the bakery returned the cake with the homophobic slur written below it. He claims he didn't notice it until he was in his car, stopped at a red light. At a press conference on Monday, he announced that he was suing the company for emotional distress.
The company released footage from the moment Brown, the pastor, purchased the cake. The chain is claiming that Brown allegedly wrote the homophobic slur on the cake himself because their video shows that the UPC label was on the top of the box, and a YouTube video posted by Brown showed the UPC label on the side of the box. They claimed it was evident because the cashier is shown scanning the code on the top of the box.
Whole Foods filed a countersuit, claiming that Brown "intentionally, knowingly and falsely accused Whole Foods and its employees of writing the homophobic slur… on a custom made cake that he ordered from WFM’s Lamar Store in Austin…," reports the Austin American-Statesman.
The chain denied any wrongdoing, claiming it would have been impossible for a team member to include a slur on a cake because they have a strict policy that "prohibits team members from accepting or designing bakery orders that include language or images that are offensive.”
In a statement, the company says the custom cake was created by an LGBTQ bakery team member. "We appreciate the appreciate the team members and shoppers who recognize that this claim is completely false and directly contradicts Whole Foods Market’s inclusive culture, which celebrates diversity,” the company said...
Advocate.
I don't know how anyone can still fall for these 'Cry homophobia!' fictions.
I guess if the gay media wasn't quite so credulous, less people would try and pull these publicity seeking and/or money grabbing stunts.

First Dates: Everybody's Doing It
First Dates contestant Daniel May became mildly famous after claiming his appearance on the show lead to him being beaten up in a homophobic attack and receiving death threats.
He's now saying that none of this happened. And what was his excuse? "People had convinced me these kind of stories get you noticed and was told that all celebrities do it."
Popbitch.
Yet another great victory for 'Cry homophobia!' and making out you're a victim when you're not.
Edit: He fesses up to Guys Like U.
'Yes, it was a lie, well the first attack was anyway. Unfortunately after my appearance on First Dates two things happened. One, I started to get loads of attention and I had lots of agents and management companies offering me large sums of money and stupidly I got sucked in fast. Before I knew it, people had convinced me these kind of stories get you noticed and was told that all celebrities do it. The next thing I was in OK mag, Cosmopolitan, Heat, Daily Mirror and so on……. There was no going back and I was deep in a very slippery road.'
He also talks about MY CHEMSEX HELL!
And who'd doubt anything he says now?
A star of smash-hit TV show First Dates has told how he has started a new life in Birmingham after being the victim of a brutal homophobic attack in London.
Daniel May, 26, was set upon by two men who shouted that he was the “f****t from TV” before punching him in the face.
He tried to fend them off with his bag but was left with a bloodied nose following the attack by two thugs.
Daniel said he decided not to report the night-time assault to police as the two men wore hoodies and he could not give a description, reports the Birmingham Mail.
Mirror, 12th February 2016 with video.
Mr May also claimed to be getting death threats after saying on the TV show he didn't like camp gay man.

Homophobia: My Funny Valentine
20-year-old Degas Sikorski is openly gay – and has spent three years working at the Party City in Edmonton [Canada].
However, the retail worker spoke out after he was the victim of a homophobic ‘prank’ at the store on Valentine’s Day.
On the Saturday Valentine’s Day shift, a supervisor had put up the Valentine’s cards left for all the employees in the break room.
However, one for Mr Sikorski had been defaced with the words “Faggot – you are not getting shifts for a reason”.
Mr Sikorski had not been assigned a shift for six weeks.
The worker told Global News he has never had issues with staff or management over his sexual orientation – and is in the dark about the nasty message.
He said: “My jaw hit the floor. [I thought] Oh my God, I’m not safe here.”
“Suddenly I can’t be myself. Suddenly I can’t accept myself and be who I am at Party City for fear of retaliation from somebody in the staff." ...
Pink News.
Seeing as so many of these cases where someone has gone public claiming to be the victim of homophobia have turned out to be hoaxes, you'd think the gay media would have learnt to treat them with some caution.

Gay Star News: God Hates Free Ads
The ‘God Hates Fag’ church caused a ‘social media frenzy’ when it shared a picture of Ryan Zamo kissing his fiancé in front of The Equality House across the street from the churches headquarters in Topeka, Kansas.
As fellow church members commented on and shared the picture, it quickly started to trend on Instagram and resulted in a ‘massive influx of sales’ to Zamo’s online skincare business.
‘It really didn’t bother me that much. We thought it was actually funny that it was becoming so popular, but neither my fiancé nor I are the types to retaliate, it wasn’t anything to be up in arms about,’ said Ryan Zamo, CEO of Z Skin Cosmetics.
‘We actually sent them a package with some of our Z Skin Cosmetics anti-aging, acne and hair products, after all they did drive massive sales for our site, it’s the least we could do.’
Gay Star News.
Sorry!!? Where was this picture posted? What 'social media frenzy'? How would anyone know who was in the photo? Or that they ran a cosmetics firm?
Here's the press release on PR News Wire GSN have cut-and-pasted.
It would be wrong to single out this story, when so much on GSN is just regurgitated press releases, but this really is first-class horseshit.
It's so shameless and pathetic I almost wish it was another example of their undisclosed paid advertorial.
Gay Star News, why do you have such utter contempt for your readers?
PS And Pink News too! (May have been removed from the main site, for shame).
Update: Irony craps its nappy as Queerty credit Pink News as the source and title it 'Free Publicity'!
If anyone needs reminding that the gay news media is systematically shit, this be the post!

Syria: A Gay Man In Aleppo?
Air strikes in Syria will not help LGBTI people persecuted by IS and may lead to revenge attacks against them.
That’s the message from LGBTI Syrians themselves after UK Prime Minister David Cameron cited the execution of gay men as one of the reasons Britain should bomb Islamic State targets.
Reports and graphic images have emerged throughout the year of gay Syrians being thrown from buildings by IS and stoned to death by mobs.
But the bombing raids could make things even worse, according to Armen from Aleppo, Syria’s largest city.
He told GSN today: ‘The British intervention will make the local LGBTs more vulnerable. It places them at risk because IS and the other fighters will take revenge on them.’
Ratteb, a gay Syrian now in exile in Beirut, described IS as ‘the cancer of society’ saying it ‘is against every religious group, including Christianity and Islam’.
But he felt the foreign intervention in Syria would not help LGBTIs.
‘Our problem isn’t only with IS but with all the Arab regimes and the legislation in the region that means LGBTIs have no role in society,’ he said.
‘If these big countries like the Britain really want to help our main concern is changing the law [that criminalizes homosexuality] to help us effectively become active parts of the society.’
Jawad, a Syrian LGBTI refugee now living in Helsinki, Finland, questioned whether gay rights were really a concern of the US, UK, France and others in the coalition.
He told us: ‘In any case, Britain isn’t getting involved in the war to protect gays but for its own benefit, just like every country interfering in the war in Iraq and Syria.’
The American-led coalition includes Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, that all criminalize homosexuality, alongside the western allies...
Gay Star News.
Surprised/pleased to see GSN running this, and not being running dogs of imperialism as per.
Maybe they've been shamed into it?
However, please bear in mind that LGBT voices from the Middle East quoted in the Western media are notoriously unreliable.
Most infamously you may recall in 2011 the much vaunted blog, A Gay Girl In Damascus - who, after claiming she'd been kidnapped - was exposed as being written by a straight American man in Edinburgh.

Russian Maxim: Respect
“We, men, do not consider men who love men to be men. This is the rule,” the introduction to the post reads. “But there are exceptions. There are gays who have earned our respect and the right to remain real men in our eyes.”
These “exceptions” include actors Ian McKellen and Neil Patrick Harris, who the magazine has “forgiven” for their sexual orientation due to their onscreen roles.
“We weren’t sure about including Neil Patrick Harris in the list — after all, he declared himself a ‘happy gay’ in 2006. But his performance as Barney Stinson in the series How I Met Your Mother hasn’t left us indifferent,” the article reads. “It’s impossible not to respect someone who elevated the hunt for girls into a true art, who systematized all the tricks and techniques and created the ‘Bro Code.’ Even if he was just acting the role. But how he acted!”
As the lead singer of Queen, Freddie Mercury “brought us so much joy, we are ready to forgive him anything,” the magazine continues.
Rob Halford of Judas Priest is evidence that “if you’re cool enough, it doesn’t matter what your orientation is.” British comedian Stephen Fry is presented as “the living embodiment of the idea that one can be openly gay and a sensible person at the same time.” ...
An editor at Maxim’s Russian edition told BuzzFeed News Nov. 26 “our position is clearly formulated in the introduction to the article.” Alexander Malenkov, the editor-in-chief of the Russian edition of Maxim, told the Russian News Service Nov. 30, “This is a joke article. It says so in it.” ...
BuzzFeed LGBT.
The piece does seem to be a piss-take - and presumably meant to mock Russian homophobia and machismo - but satire is always lost on simpletons.
Though, admittedly it might have lost something in the (Google) translation.
Still... Russia BOO!
Update: Not seen one gay media account of this that didn't regurgitate it as clearly another example of TEH EVIL RUSSIAN HOMOPHOBIA!!!
But where would be without the Pavlovian LGBT media seeing homophobia where there is none?
Hey! Remember when Putin called Elton John and that was absolutely 100% straight-up true?

Hoax Watch: Begorra!
Mystery continues to surround the identity of a couple who wrote to GCN
(Gay Community News) magazine alleging that they had been asked to leave
a Dublin city-centre restaurant after a nearby table complained about
them holding hands.
The letter, which comes just five months after this year's landslide gay marriage referendum, has provoked widespread outrage and some incredulity.
It detailed a night at an unnamed Dublin restaurant at which the couple were celebrating their anniversary. As they held hands and touched, the letter says, a waiter approached asking them to stop showing each other physical affection.
The couple asked to see the manager, and the letter continues: "When we said we had every right to show each other affection, the manager said that it was unfortunate that other customers were uncomfortable, and suggested that we leave. He told us we wouldn't be charged for our meal."
The writer of the letter finishes with disbelief that something like this could happen in the country that voted overwhelmingly for same-sex marriage back in May. "This is not the indication, on any level, of acceptance or even tolerance," the letter continued. The whole experience has really shaken the foundations of what I had come to believe post-referendum about my country."
GCN magazine has confirmed that upon receiving the anonymous letter, it contacted the couple by email to point out that they would have a case to bring to the Equality Authority.
The magazine received no reply to this email and received no
further contact from the couple, but decided to publish the letter,
without a name and address given, anyway.
Some have cast doubt on the authenticity of the letter. Theatre writer Philip McMahon, who co-wrote and appeared in the film Queen Of Ireland, wrote on Twitter: "It's kind of dangerous too, because it creates a Chinese whisper effect that erupts into outrage - without any hard facts."
The Whitefriar Grill, a restaurant in Dublin city centre which offered to "hook up" the couple after the story broke, has also not been contacted by the couple - despite the offer of a gourmet meal with all the trimmings.
Sunday Independent (Ireland).
Is there no end to these 'Cry homophobia!' fantasies?
PS Whilst it's possible the unknown eaters at the unnamed restaurant have gone to ground and disappeared into the ether, you'd think the gay media might - just for once - start questioning these gay mis lit stories they're fed.

Gay Priests: The Virtual Vs The Real
Trailer Documentário Amores Santos from denergiovanini on Vimeo.
After the Polish priest Monsignor Krzysztof Charamsa came out as gay, the Vatican is about to suffer another heavy blow. The documentary ‘Amores Santos’ (Sacred Loves), due out in January 2016, tells the story of the priests who lead double-lives, condemning homosexuality from the pulpit but then enjoying virtual gay sex as soon as they get home. The trailer of the film, by Brazilian director Dener Giovanini, shows a handsome young actor who attracts up to 150 priests from 30 different countries on social networks. The director filmed 500 minutes of explicit conversations, in which some priests take part in virtual sex on Skype and Facebook. According to the director, the priests involved were Anglicans, evangelicals and, above all, Catholic.
WEST.
Picked up by most gay media with the usual; 'O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay! All homophobes are secretly gay!'
But is this legit?
I mean, how does one find just one (1) closeted gay priest on social networks and get them to fess up about their love of cock, never mind 150?
Are there certain keywords you search for?
And getting it on in their robes!!!
Anyway, I'm sure this confusing small paradox will be cleared up in good time.

Hoax Watch: Guns Before Butt Lube
When an Alabama Walmart was buying stock for their gun counter, they might want to do a little bit more than read the label.
They found that out after a man filmed a video that has gone viral on Facebook, showing their guns are paired with ‘gun oil’ lube.
‘Oh wow,’ Jamie Lee Bracey says, picking up the bottle of Gun Oil H20 – a lubricant known for targeting the gay community.
‘It says water-based lubricant for your gun.’...
Gay Star News - and all other over-excited and incredibly creduolus gay media outlets.
A cynic may wonder if the viral video of a man finding one (1) bottle of Gun Oil anal lube at a Walmart gun counter is in fact a hoax.
The image he filmed of him 'finding' itis somewhat different to the illustration.
