Putin: Still Worse Than Hitler!

Such wit! Such originality! Such insight!

The power-serving political infantilism of so much of the gay media never ceases to amaze me.

Because a stupid Russian law that's seen three people fined in over a year is exactly the same as the Nazi's systematic extermination of six million Jews.

USA! USA! USA!

Take That, Putin!

Bye. x

FASCIST!
The Independent, Saturday.

Update: Russia is behaving like Nazi Germany, David Cameron says, Daily Mail. Zzz....

Putin: Just Like Hitler!!!

Well-known champions of the left and leading political theorists, the Daily Mail and Prince Charles, come out against this week's evil bogeyman, President Putin!
Boo!
Wouldn't it be funny if the UK invaded other countries and had an unelected head of state?
Which Russia didn't.
And doesn't.
Irony!
Anyone who likens Putin to Hitler is such an obvious fucktard any comment they make about politics can be ignored.
20 million Russians died defeating Hitler so we have to put up with cucks like you.
In no way is this part of a right-wing smear campaign in service to hegemony and power.
'But, but... Putin is be killing teh gays!
'I read this...'
No, he's not.
Please stop being hysterical.
Thanks.

PS I think you'll find if you look both the Daily Mail and Prince Charles' family were rather fond of Hitler...

Fagburn: A Few Brief Words To Those Among My Fellow Gay Men Who Think Boycotting Barilla Pasta Is As Heroic And Important A Struggle As That Of The 25 Million Russians Who Died To Defeat Nazi Germany And Help End The Systematic Extermination Of The Entire Jewish Population Of Europe

An actual meme masquerading as political critique today

Power laughs while it kicks your ass,
while they distracted you into thinking some stupid pasta boycott
about having some token fag in some stupid fucking TV ad
really meant something meaningful,
when it meant nothing but your acceptance
of their attempts to depoliticise your culture.

Shut up and eat up the nicer pasta, boys!

Wipe your chin, tuck your shirt in,
Go home.

They've won.

David Blunkett: Behold His Rivers Of Blood Speech

"I think we have a job in this country, in a civilised, free, open democracy, to protect ourselves from the most bestial activities and from dangers that would undermine a civilised nation."
Drawing a parallel with Germany before the rise of the Nazis, he suggested a loose moral climate had fed the paranoia and fear that had allowed Adolf Hitler to flourish.
"In the late 1920s and early 1930s, Berlin came as near as dammit to Sodom and Gomorrah. There was a disintegration of what you might call any kind of social order.
"People fed on that - they fed people's fears of it. They encouraged their paranoia. They developed hate about people who had differences, who were minorities.
"There always has had to be some balance, in terms of the freedom of what we want to do, for ourselves and the mutual respect and the duty we owe to each other in a collective society. I think getting it right is the strength of a democracy."

Rancid reactionary homophobe David Blunkett, speaking at a Labour Party Conference fringe meeting on the evils of online pornography.
So Mr Blunkett believes the brief blossoming of gay life in Weimar Berlin brought Hitler to power?
I hope all those bestial queers the Nazis sent to concentration camps realised they only had themselves to blame.
This is the sort of "Rome fell!" "The barbarians are at the gate!" rhetoric you expect from the rabid right.
And people flip their wig when Godfrey Bloom jokes about cleaning behind the fridge.
What an utter, utter cunt!

PS Note Blunkett is using the same "This is exactly how Hitler started!" anti-reasoning beloved of the "Boycott Russia!" bozos, and is coming out with the sort of anti-gay crap that, if a Russian politician said it, they'd use to "prove" Russia is fast becoming a fascist state...

Gaydwin's Law: From The Message Boards

Gaydwin's Law: After any news story about Russia in the gay media, within two minutes someone will post; "THIS IS EXACTLY HOW HITLER STARTED!!!"

Professor Fagburn, after Godwin's Law.

Sadly, while Mike Godwin said bringing the Nazis into an online discussion meant that person had lost the argument and the thread was finished, with Gaydwin's Law writing something like the above is seen as a serious, intelligent and useful contribution to debate.
Further, as Russia's "gay propaganda" law is so similar to Britain's Section 28, it would be better to type; "THIS IS EXACTLY HOW THATCHER STARTED!!!"

PS My new week's resolution is to spend less time arguing with idiots.

Fagburn: Worse Than Hitler!!!

Not much gaiety in the papers worth commenting on today, so in the interests of furthering intelligent, informed, reasoned, unhysterical, and highly sophisticated political debate here's a picture of Putin where he looks like Hitler.
Case closed!

"As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one..." - Godwin's law.

PS The Telegraph sends Catholic anti-gay nonsense-machine Cristina Odone to Milan to interview Dolce & Gabbana - with boring consequences.
UND! The Mirror celebrates 20 years of winsome, orange broadcasting legend Dale Winton on the tellybox - this is quite funny, actually.
Good morrow!

Britain: Worse Than Nazi Germany - Official

Many lesbian, gay and bisexual people continue to live in fear of prejudice, despite the significant progress in recent years to improve equality.

Gay in Britain, a report by the campaign group Stonewall, suggests that large numbers of Britain's 3.7 million* gay people fear they will be discriminated against if they stand for political office, seek to foster a child or look to become a magistrate.

Three in five of those questioned in the YouGov poll of just over 2,000 gay people said they expected their child would be bullied in primary school if it were known they had gay parents; more than four in five expected the same if they had a child in secondary school. Seven in 10 people expected to face barriers because of their sexual orientation if they applied to become a school governor...

Its survey found more than six in 10 gay and bisexual men and four in 10 lesbians and bisexual women expect to experience homophobia if they take part in a team sport and are open about their sexuality. And almost half think that television's portrayal of lesbian, gay and bisexual people is unrealistic.

I know I've said this before, but I really can't say it enough - and heaven forfend I sound like a monumental loon with no idea how the world works - but this shows once again that Britain today is to homophobia what Nazi Germany was to antisemitism.
This is just one train stop away from Auschwitz, dudes.
This is exactly what apartheid South Africa was like.
Exactly!
And I, for one, refuse to be hysterical and exagerate.
Good day, sir.

* In-no-way is this figure made-up! See also the thing about how much The Gays contribute to the economy. LOLZ etc...

Update: The Stage on The Gays on The Tellybox.

Oh and finally... here's a PDF of the Stonewall survey.

Daily Mail: Godwin's Law Explained

The Daily Mail publishes a bonkers article calling for a boycott; Really, Mr. Putin? Even HITLER suspended Germany's anti-gay laws during the 1936 Olympics, but Russia won't do the same for next year.
Conveniently overlooking how the Daily Mail supported HITLER in 1936.
The Mail appear to have revised their opinions on HITLER as he was "A SECRET GAY!"
In-no-way has this become a licence to write idiotic trash!
The illustration is one of many online that make Putin look like HITLER - in-no-way has this become the most hysterical and debased political discussion of recent times.
This really is the politics of the primary school playground.

Stoli and sympathy, and the new LGBT Sphere: What to do about Russia by Scott Long. Not convinced about his conclusion but as ever his analysis of this western tomfoolery is spot-on.
Reminded me about Dan Savage's last foray into international politics when he said we should support the war against Iraq because... Saddam Hussein was worse than Hitler!
It just gets better for gay neo-imperialist stooges.

Russia: Your Actual Art

Everyone knows about Tchaikovsky, but it’s not so well-known that the greatest Russian epic opera, Boris Godunov, was composed by another gay composer — Mussorgsky. The two greatest 20th-century Russian pianists, Horowitz and Richter, were gay. So were the century’s greatest Russian male dancers: Nijinsky and Nureyev. Eisenstein, the Soviet Union’s top film-maker, preferred men, as did Diaghilev, the visionary Ballet Russes impresario. So did innumerable writers through Russian history — though many, like Gogol, were forced to suppress their feelings. These geniuses didn’t just change art; their charisma also greatly increased the gaiety of a nation otherwise inclined — by politics, climate and temperament — to a grim stoicism.

I had a bizarre personal experience of that homoerotic charisma back in the late 1970s. As the most junior journalist on a tiny arts magazine I had the weekly job of visiting the bohemian lodgings of our dance critic — a magnificently camp dilettante who possessed neither a typewriter nor any understanding of the word “deadline” — and standing over him until he had composed his article.

One week I walked in and found a stranger draped over the chaise longue. Being a mustard-keen cub reporter, I didn’t take more than five minutes to register two remarkable facts. The first was that he was Rudolf Nureyev. The second was that he was wearing only a silk robe that had fallen open to reveal, well, let’s say his entire corps de ballet. I can’t remember which of those observations hit me first, but I was flummoxed by their combined impact. I stammered “Oh gosh”, which I think Nureyev took as a compliment. Either way, he broke into a grin — and regally offered me his hand to kiss...

Richard Morrison in The Times.

On the Olympics boycott? "Right idea, wrong tactics".

"The campaign against Section 28 of the Local Government Act (1988) which prohibits the spending of municipalities on 'promoting homosexuality', drew upon the notion that gay men have produced a notable proportion of what is called art and literature. The campaign was courageous, well organised and much publicised, and arts celebrities came out. Astonishingly, at first sight, this carried little weight with the government and newspapers who support it; the votes in parliament were  were the same at the end of the campaign as at the beginning. The reason, I believe, is that people in our cultures already know that art is associated stereotypically, with male homosexuals..."

Alan Sinfield, The Wilde Century.

Update: In The Independent David Lister says Russian artists should speak out on Putin's [sic] anti-gay laws.
Again, better than Western celebs pontificating, but it won't be The Arts that stop this...
