Harvey Proctor: I Don't Believe It!

In the context of recent speculation and allegations on the internet, I write this to say that I am innocent of the allegations against me and I will maintain this stance until my dying breath.

On Wednesday 4 March 2015, the Metropolitan Police’s Operation Midland Team raided my home and, under a warrant investigating historical child sexual abuse, searched my house for 15 hours. I was told at 11pm that no statement would be issued to the press and my identity would not come out. That was not the case.

If not before, then within eight hours of the police leaving my home, details of the raid were leaked to the national media. ExaroNews – an odd internet news agency – was tipped off before the police left my home. Mark Conrad, a journalist for the agency, was phoning and emailing my office at 9.34pm – at least 90 minutes before the police left my house.

During and immediately after the search, I volunteered to be interviewed by the Metropolitan Police concerning Operation Midland’s investigations relating to allegations from the 1970s and Eighties...

So the “organisation” – strange term for the Metropolitan Police’s Murder Squad – has raided my house, searched it for 15 hours, removed my communications and computer equipment and many boxes of historic documents and other irrelevant material from the 1970s and Eighties, prompted me to retire from my job of 13 years and to leave my home. They have ruined 28 years of my life’s rehabilitation after 1987 and they are not prepared to meet me and interview me. They have said to my solicitors, but not to the media, that I am not a suspect and they merely wish for me to assist the police with their inquiries.

In 1987, Detective Chief Superintendent Drummond Marvin of Scotland Yard’s Serious Crime Squad was the officer in charge of my prosecution. I pleaded guilty to four charges of gross indecency. Offences which, because of the changes in the law regarding the homosexual age of consent, are no longer offences.

The People.
Chief Superintendent Marvin subsequently wrote a book and sold his story to The Sun newspaper. He wrote about three of his cases: Lord Lucan, Russell Harty and myself. In the article about me he stated for the first time, as far as I am aware, the felonious notion that there was a rent-boy ring at Westminster. If there was one, I was not aware of it, it was news to me and I was not part of it. Marvin’s article was wrong on this and on other matters.

I have always tried to protect my privacy – not because I thought I was breaking the law, but because I consider sexual matters to be private, except where they are illegal. Not just for me but for everyone. I refuse to comment on these matters now save to say anything and everything I have done has been consensual. But with alarming frequency, when I was visited by the police in 1987, journalists from the Sunday People were outside my flat.

I have not flaunted my sexuality. It is the press and the police who have time and time again invaded my privacy. In 1987, the press wired a witness for sound and was sent into my apartment. The police trawled the gay bars of London, showing my photograph to all and sundry, asking: “Have you slept with this man?” Today the modern-day equivalent is for senior police officers to go on the airways enticing so called “victims” to come out of the woodwork, telling them, without even speaking to them, that they would be believed.

Now, the guide to misinformation and the oracle of disinformation is the internet. It is a totally impossible media with which to engage, as hundreds of thousands of comments appear daily, with no chance of rebuttal.

At the behest of a weird assortment of alleged victims, ex-police officers, bishops, social workers, attention seekers and “nutters”, former, respected politicians have had their reputations trashed without a shred of evidence – Sir Leon Brittan, Sir Keith Joseph, Dr Rhodes Boyson and Enoch Powell to name but a few. They are dead; they cannot defend themselves. I am alive; I can and I will.

Enough is enough. Someone has to stand up and say the Emperor is wearing no clothes...

Fagburn's said it before and I'll say it again; just cause Harvey Proctor is an odious far right racist shitbag, it doesn't mean he's guilty of any of these fantastical accusations.

Enoch Powell's Satanic Sex Ring: 'Although There Is No Evidence...'

The Church of England has told Scotland Yard that William Whitelaw, the former home secretary, and Enoch Powell were accused of being members of a political satanic abuse ring.

The allegations of the politicians’ involvement in child abuse emerged during counselling by a vicar of a youth in the 1980s. Leo Abse, a long-serving Labour MP, was also named.

Although there was no evidence to support the claims, the church authorities felt compelled to send the information to Scotland Yard’s investigation into alleged establishment involvement in child abuse.

Dominic Walker, who retired as Bishop of Monmouth in 2013, said he heard the allegations during the counselling sessions while serving as a vicar in Brighton.

Last year he passed on the information to the Bishop of Durham, the Right Rev Paul Butler, who is responsible for “safeguarding” in the Church of England. The bishop ordered that church authorities send the information to Scotland Yard. It is understood that there was no corroborating material from the church.

A Church of England spokesman said last night: “When allegations are made against individuals, it is quite proper to pass those allegations to the police and statutory authorities, without any investigation on our part and regardless of our own views.”

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “We do not identify individuals that are subject of investigation.”

The most ridiculous one yet?

Update: Let's Expose The Satanic Abuse Con Artists: Enoch Powell is the latest - conveniently dead - politician to be accused of awful crimes. This nonsense has to stop David Aaronovitch, The Times.

Thought For The Day: Hanif Kureishi

At home, in Bromley, the family hinterland had no relevance or meaning. Here, he was just "a Paki". Then came Enoch Powell and the "rivers of blood" speech. "It was terrifying," he remembers. "We thought we were going to be sent back. We'd been brought over here to help run the NHS and the public services, but now we realised that we were just Pakis and niggers. There were a lot of skinheads. My dad was persecuted as he came home from work and he thought it was all too difficult. But I liked my name. I couldn't change it to Pete Brown. So what I had to do," he continues, "was uncover who I really was. You saw that a lot in the 70s: blacks, gays, women. It all came out of EP Thompson [author of The Making of the English Working Class)] and the idea that ordinary people have their own history."

Hanif Kureishi interviewed in The Observer.

David Blunkett: Behold His Rivers Of Blood Speech

"I think we have a job in this country, in a civilised, free, open democracy, to protect ourselves from the most bestial activities and from dangers that would undermine a civilised nation."
Drawing a parallel with Germany before the rise of the Nazis, he suggested a loose moral climate had fed the paranoia and fear that had allowed Adolf Hitler to flourish.
"In the late 1920s and early 1930s, Berlin came as near as dammit to Sodom and Gomorrah. There was a disintegration of what you might call any kind of social order.
"People fed on that - they fed people's fears of it. They encouraged their paranoia. They developed hate about people who had differences, who were minorities.
"There always has had to be some balance, in terms of the freedom of what we want to do, for ourselves and the mutual respect and the duty we owe to each other in a collective society. I think getting it right is the strength of a democracy."

Rancid reactionary homophobe David Blunkett, speaking at a Labour Party Conference fringe meeting on the evils of online pornography.
So Mr Blunkett believes the brief blossoming of gay life in Weimar Berlin brought Hitler to power?
I hope all those bestial queers the Nazis sent to concentration camps realised they only had themselves to blame.
This is the sort of "Rome fell!" "The barbarians are at the gate!" rhetoric you expect from the rabid right.
And people flip their wig when Godfrey Bloom jokes about cleaning behind the fridge.
What an utter, utter cunt!

PS Note Blunkett is using the same "This is exactly how Hitler started!" anti-reasoning beloved of the "Boycott Russia!" bozos, and is coming out with the sort of anti-gay crap that, if a Russian politician said it, they'd use to "prove" Russia is fast becoming a fascist state...

Aggressive Homosexuals: This Means War!

Steve Bell's cartoon in The Guardian.

Though there was an avalanche of nonsense, bigotry and hate released yesterday - and some sentimental liberal vomit from "our side" - the buzzphrase from the debate on the Marriage Bill soon emerged as "aggressive homosexuals".
This was in tribute to leading Tory grandee loonbat Sir Gerald Howarth's comments to the House...

"I fear that the playing field is not being levelled. I believe that the pendulum is now swinging so far the other way that there are plenty in the aggressive homosexual community who see this as but a stepping-stone..."*

A stepping stone to what exactly?
How does one go about join this aggressive homosexual community?
And can you please stop mixing your metaphors quite so terribly?
This was so ridiculous it soon became a hashtag on Twitter, #aggressivehomosexuals; Nigel Slayer, Kill Bert & George, Sir Ian McKillin', Russell Grant Mitchell, Extremely Vicious Old Queens, "I'm free... to kill again!" etc etc.
All most amusing, but listening to Gerald Howarth today, it just sounded incredibly sinister, with echoes of Rivers Of Blood.
Hahaha!

* You can listen to it as a soundclip here via The Guardian.

PS The "aggressive homosexuals" thing also soon gave rise to some lame, forced and painfully unfunny reworkings unto parodic accounts of "straightbashing" incidents and being hit with pink feather boas or pink feather dusters and the like. Ho ho ho. Here's a real stinker from "comedy" site NewsBiscuit. Even Vicious was funnier than this, FFS.

Update: A piece by Michael White went up on The Guardian Online on Tuesday afternoon; Gay marriage is a detox symbol for Cameron, but is it worth the trouble?
After a heck of lot of waffle - and White agreeing with Mr Howarth "that one or two gay rights lobbies adopt the same kind of aggressive tactics that militants do in most campaigns"! - we discover that although Princess Michael thinks most people now aren't bothered by gay marriage being introduced,
"But other swaths of public opinion, they may even be small swaths, care a great deal. They are the grannies protesting – here and abroad – with their "Marriage = Man + Woman" placards, the clergymen, rabbis and imams who protest against what they regard as the tainting of the core institution of civil society down the ages, the family that consists of parents, children, grandchildren, aunts, cousins, pets."
So it's not the aggressive homosexuals we need to fear, it's the unaggressive grannies with pets.
So think on.

Daily Express: In Defence Of David Starkey

The Daily Express has leapt to the defence of David "Enoch" Starkey today;
'Dark Past Of The Rudest Man on TV'
Were you disgusted by his vile racist outburst on Newsnight on Friday night?
The Express's Anna Pukas wasn't - she thought it "was Dr David Starkey, aka Dr Rude, doing what he does best: giving voice to what the rest of us keep hidden in our thoughts."
Oh dear. Speak for yourself, dear.
"This was Starkey at his most provocative."
And most racist - you forgot to say racist.
The BBC has received more than 700 complaints about Dr Racist's comments.
But bravely the Express sought to understand where his "anger" comes from.
His difficult relationship with "his domineering mother", apparently.
Why thank you, Dr Freud.
It's a wonderful and enlightening piece all round - and it would be churlish to say that Anna Pukas's idea of "research" appears to have involved little more than reading David Starkey's Wikipedia page.
Well done to the both of you.
Well done!
