In an email sent to his business partner and Democratic fundraiser Jeffrey Leeds, former Secretary of State Colin Powell wrote of Hillary Clinton, “Everything HRC touches she kind of screws up with hubris.”

Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State during Barack Obama’s first term was an unmitigated disaster for many nations around the world. Neither the Donald Trump campaign nor the corporate media have adequately described how a number of countries around the world suffered horribly from Mrs. Clinton’s foreign policy decisions.

Millions of people were adversely harmed by Clinton’s misguided policies and her “play-to-pay” operations involving favors in return for donations to the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative.

Donald Trump: Ask The Gays

Donald Trump continues to invoke his newly enumerated, but highly dubious support for LGBT people to encourage his election to the White House.

After recognizing the LGBT victims of the mass shooting during a national security speech on Monday reiterating his call for a Muslim ban, Trump again referenced the LGBT community on Wednesday during a rally in Atlanta, Ga.

“For the gays out there, ask the gays and ask the people, ask the gays what they think and what they do in not only Saudi Arabia, in many of these countries with the gay community,” Trump said. “Let’s ask. Then you tell me: Who’s your friend, Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?”

Trump invoked LGBT people to criticize his rival Hillary Clinton for accepting donations to the Clinton Foundation, which conducts overseas humanitarian work, from countries that criminalize homosexuality like Saudi Arabia.

“They want to enslave women,” Trump said. “As far as the gay community, they kill gays. And she’s taking money.”

Referencing the reported contributions Saudi Arabia gave the Clinton Foundation, Trump said of the country, “I wonder why we take care of them.”

Promoting his plan to bar Muslims from entering the United States, Trump called it “a temporary ban in particular from certain people coming from certain horrible, where you have tremendous terrorism in the world.”

“You know what those places are,” Trump said. “But we have to put a stop to it. We have to put a stop to it until such time as we can figure out what is going on because right now we don’t have a clue what’s going on, folks.”

Trump also cited LGBT support when he decried the idea of allowing Syrian refugees to enter the United States on the basis that Muslims practice Sharia law, which he said institutes “execution for things that you would say are, like, standard parts of life.” Sharia law calls for the death of gay people by stoning.

“I will tell you the LGBT community, the gay community, the lesbian community, they are so much in favor of what I’ve been saying over the last three or four days,” Trump said to applause..

Actress and progressive activist Susan Sarandon lent her star power to Bernie Sanders at an Iowa rally this evening, passing over Hillary Clinton a second time for the nation's top job.

A decider for Sarandon, who has known Sanders for more than two decades, was Clinton's 2002 vote for the Iraq War as a New York senator, a military conflict that Sanders did not support.

'That's where Hillary Clinton lost me,' she told DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview, 'because there was plenty of information that even I had that said there was a real problem with the logic involved.'

Clinton went on to be secretary of state and has more experience in the foreign policy realm than Sanders, who has has focused his legislative career on fighting for economic justice.

'But what is experience without judgement,' Sarandon said tonight after a Sanders rally in northern Iowa. 'She's had a job but what has she done that we're bragging about. How has she led?'

Continuing the actress said of Clinton, once the nation's top diplomat, 'She's had that job, and he's had a job, too, and she went overseas, but what I'm saying is the biggest foreign decision that had to be made in terms of foreign policy was whether or not to go into Iraq and go into war, and she failed that test.'

'I'm sorry, but for me, you can't get a bigger decision than that and we've been paying the price ever since. And I think she has to be held accountable for that.'

In 2008 Sarandon got behind Barack Obama at a critical time in the primary. Now, she's hitting the trail for Sanders a week before Iowans cast their ballots - the start of the 2016 election.

'I've come here because for me gender is not what's important. Issues are what's important,' she said as she introduced the U.S. senator at tonight's event in Music Man Square in Mason City Iowa.

Her support for Sanders and the visit to Iowa on his behalf is more than just a response to Clinton's war record...

Back in 2009 (four years before the current presidential hopeful formally endorsed marriage equality), then-Secretary of State Clinton expressed concern over purported torture of gay men in Iraq in one of many released conversations from 2009 with her adviser Cheryl Mills, reports the Washington Blade.

“So sad and terrible," wrote Clinton of the alleged antigay brutality in Iraq. "We should ask Chris Hill to raise this w govt. If we ever get Posner confirmed we should emphasize LGBT human rights.” ...

Yup, Clinton once sent a private email saying she thought reports of gay men in Iraq being tortured and murdered was 'sad and terrible', this was in the chaos unleashed in the wake of a criminal war she'd always supported.

And this - apparently - shows she has 'always' supported LGBT rights, even though she was speaking out against equal marriage at the time.

One wonders what squish-squish sad-face sadness she felt over the countless gay men that must have died as 'collateral damage'.

And what would she do about it?

Send in the rainbow-coloured drones?

The gay media's fawning over this appalling woman is sickening.

to a rainbow version of her campaign logo on Tuesday. The switch came the same day the Supreme Court is set to hear opening arguments in Obergefell v. Hodges, a case expected to determine whether same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry.

Clinton's campaign has already taken a strong stance on marriage equality. The video in which she announced her candidacy featured a gay Chicago couple who later invited the former secretary of state to their wedding.

Clinton hasn't always agreed the nation's highest court was the place to handle the marriage debate, The Washington Post noted. In an interview with NPR's Terry Gross last year, Clinton said for her, marriage had "always been a matter left to the states."

US LGBT Envoy: No, Thank You

There are four reasons why a special envoy could be counterproductive.

First, so much work is already taking place, especially since former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton directed the State Department to advocate for the protection of the human rights of LGBT people in 2009. LGBT equality is being integrated into the State Department’s work, via the Global Equality Fund, several programs within the Department of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, and elsewhere. So why is this role needed?

Second, why the focus on LGBT equality specifically? We do not see special envoys on issues like gender violence, indigenous people’s rights, or poverty—usually envoys focus on issues jeopardizing peace—so why do LGBT rights require one? There is a risk that the envoy makes LGBT rights seem like “exceptional” rights that need exceptional attention, which could be counterproductive.
Third, one concern often raised about the envoy position is that it’s a way of “responding symbolically to congressional or public pressure rather than representing the administration’s serious commitment to address a challenge.” This is a concern I share. Although it is too early to tell, the envoy position runs the risk of being purely symbolic.

Fourth, the symbolism may actually be the wrong symbolism. The fact is that Berry is a white man—as will be his U.K. equivalent, if opposition leader Ed Miliband wins the May 7 election and appoints Lord Michael Cashman as his LGBT envoy, as promised last fall.

The envoy could run the risk of looking like (and being) a white person trying to save brown and black LGBT people from their brown and black oppressors. LGBT activists in Africa have long had to debunk the idea that homosexuality is something white people in Western countries do that is then imported into African countries. Thus the whiteness of the Western special envoy could reinforce this and create more challenges for black LGBT activists...
