Developed by Manchester-based Honlodge Productions, the film is a portrait of Morrissey’s early life prior to forming a legendary songwriting partnership with Johnny Marr. The Smiths, who went on to sell millions of records worldwide, were described by the BBC as “the band that inspired deeper devotion than any British group since The Beatles”.
Director Mark Gill and producer Baldwin Li are joined by producer Orian Williams, whose credits include CONTROL, the critically acclaimed biopic of Joy Division’s Ian Curtis. The screenplay is written by Mark Gill and William Thacker, whose debut novel CHARM OFFENSIVE was released by Legend Press in March 2014. Casting will be by Shaheen Baig (CONTROL, THE OTHERS, LOCKE).
Director Mark Gill states: “The film covers Morrissey’s life pre-Smiths and is more of a portrait than a conventional biopic. It’s as much a film for non-Morrissey fans as it is for die-hard devotees, but I can’t deny that this is a love letter to Steven Patrick Morrissey and the dark satanic mills of Manchester.”
This should both fuel and hurt La Mozza's ego; 'Who is this idiot playing ME!!?'
Actually, I bet she tries to sue.

Update: While you're waiting why not watch this short film of La Moz getting attacked by a fan in San Jose Wednesday?
Gone to the dogs? |
The lyrics to his latest tunes are even worse than the last album.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how shite the novel will be...
Bet you anything she'll try to get a legal injunction to stop this.

Have you seen this hilarious promo for the album?
ReplyDeleteFucking hell! There's nothing there anymore. No humour, no intelligence, no originality. Nothing. It's just embarrassing.
Nice to see the millionaire Moz sticking it to the rich...
Is it just me or are a lot of Morrissey album covers shots of him holding something that suggests an erect cock?
