Morrissey: I Know Its Over

In a statement to fawnsite True-To-You, Morrissey has claimed he has been dropped by his label, Harvest, after one album, That's None Of Your Business, Martha.

'I blame Jamie Oliver and Princess Anne, who should also be imprisoned for war crimes against rabbits,' the increasingly nutty and paranoid singer commented. 'This is far worse than the Holocaust.'

A spokesperson for Harvest Records said; 'We really have absolutely no idea what the old queen's going on about, but then does anyone these days?'

Well, this isn't completely embarrassing, is it?

Always good to hear a multi-millionaire tax exile complaining about governments keeping people poor.

The whole lyric is so politically juvenile and pseudo-radical you'd think she'd been hanging round with Russell Brand or something.

Morrissey: The Movie!

The Oscar-nominated team behind THE VOORMAN PROBLEM are pleased to announce that development is underway on a feature-length portrait of Morrissey as a young man currently under the working title of STEVEN.

Developed by Manchester-based Honlodge Productions, the film is a portrait of Morrissey’s early life prior to forming a legendary songwriting partnership with Johnny Marr. The Smiths, who went on to sell millions of records worldwide, were described by the BBC as “the band that inspired deeper devotion than any British group since The Beatles”.

Director Mark Gill and producer Baldwin Li are joined by producer Orian Williams, whose credits include CONTROL, the critically acclaimed biopic of Joy Division’s Ian Curtis. The screenplay is written by Mark Gill and William Thacker, whose debut novel CHARM OFFENSIVE was released by Legend Press in March 2014. Casting will be by Shaheen Baig (CONTROL, THE OTHERS, LOCKE).

Director Mark Gill states: “The film covers Morrissey’s life pre-Smiths and is more of a portrait than a conventional biopic. It’s as much a film for non-Morrissey fans as it is for die-hard devotees, but I can’t deny that this is a love letter to Steven Patrick Morrissey and the dark satanic mills of Manchester.”
