Speech Of The Year: Lady Gaga

"Today, at Europride in Rome,
Here, under the shadow of the Vatican,
I accuse the universal Catholic Church of the lethal diversion of our living strength toward an empty heaven,
I accuse the Catholic Church of swindling,
I accuse the Catholic Church of infecting the world with its funereal morality,
Of being the running sore on the decomposed body of the West.
Verily I say unto you: God is dead,
We vomit the agonizing insipidity of your prayers,
For your prayers have been the greasy smoke over the battlefields of our Europe.
Go forth then into the tragic and exalting desert of a world where God is dead,
And till this earth anew with your bare hands,
With your PROUD hands,
With your unpraying hands.
Today at Europride,
Here under the shadow of the Vatican,
We proclaim the death of the Christ-god, so that lesbians and gay men may live at last."

Never one to shy away from controversy, Lady Gaga let's rip at an almost unbelievable speech she gave at Europride in Rome yesterday.

  1. Are you sure she said this? I've just seen what I thought was her entire speech online and she never mentioned any of this.

Liar. She didn't say any such thing. A video of the whole speech and performance is widely available online. This is why they hate us, idiot.

    Haha!
Yeah, having a sense of humour is why "they" hate us.
Might be a good idea to not give a fuck why "they" hate us. Because if "they" hate us - for whatever reason - they aren't worth shit.
    Just a thought. :)
