New Orleans

I was listening
to an old Black guy
aged 75
on the radio last night
he was talking about how in the 50s
he couldn't get served
on some food counters in New Orleans.

I keep thinking about
what just happened in New York
and how
in the future -
"Can you believe they weren't allowed to do that?" -
how stupid we'll all seem.

    Wonderful.

    this isn't really related at all, but sort of historically connected in theme I suppose.
    I found it last night and thought some of the photos - and just the collection as a whole - were really great. There's virtually no information with any of them...
