Nick Clegg, in a predictably banal and brief statement sent to Coalition For Equal Marriage.
Despite it just repeating his stock phrase, and looks like it's been cut-and-pasted onto an email by an intern (such commitment!), this has been bigged up by the Independent with the headline; 'Coalition will bring in gay marriage despite Tory resistance, vows Clegg' 
Pink News takes a similar line; 'Nick Clegg warns Tories against backing down on equal marriage'
Eh?
Can anyone see any "warning to the Tories" in the above statement?
Bizarre.
Still, if Nick Clegg gives you his cast iron guarantee on a policy it must be a shoo-in, right?

Tuition Fees: Gay Prof Turns Back On Clegg

Colin Firth - pictured left, just about - has announced he no longer supports the Liberal Democrats.
Firth, best known for starring opposite Nicholas Hoult in A Single Man, said it was "because of what the Liberal Democrats had to say about tuition fees and things."
Firth is certainly a voice to be listened to on further education; he played an English professor in the film A Single Man, where you get to see Nicholas Hoult in the nip.

Am I alone in wishing it said "Rage of the Riot Girls"?
Or Riot Grrrls.
Or, more in keeping with The Daily Mail's housestyle and sensibilities, should the headline be; "Ladies! Please!"
And it's hilarious it's tied in with the banner asking "So who IS the Mail's inspirational woman of the year?"
One of these angry young women, one hopes.
