A Life In The Day: Come Together

EXCLUSIVE: Nicholas Hoult and Jack O’Connell are circling A Life In The Day, the Tony Gittelson script about the life of Brian Epstein, who discovered and managed the Beatles from 1961-1967, before he died of a drug overdose at 32. Justin Chadwick (Tulip Fever) is in talks to direct the project, which David Permut will produce through his Permut Presentations banner along with Dylan Sellers’ Rivers Edge Films...

This is still a fluid situation with no deals set, but if it all comes together, Hoult would play the flamboyant and gay Epstein, with O’Connell the brilliant but troubled John Lennon. The intense relationship between the two men has been the subject of much debate and analysis over the years. As recently as this week, Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono mused about the possibility that Epstein and Lennon had sex with each other. She was quoted in the Daily Beast as saying, “It was almost a love affair, but not quite. It was never consummated. But it was a pretty intense relationship.” ...

Nicholas Hoult: Giant Beanstalk

Nicholas Hoult is bigger than you think. He is perched on the edge of a plump armchair in a suite at Claridge’s, his back schoolboy-straight, his hair short and neat, his face lit up with an open smile that echoes the friendly arches of his eyebrows.

Then you notice his legs, splayed like a pair of compasses and bent at the knees, with shins and feet gawkily tucked away underneath. The 23-year-old actor is a strapping 6ft 3in in his stocking feet, but he moves and talks with an elflike twinkle: he’s a winning synthesis of Jack and beanstalk...

Tuition Fees: Gay Prof Turns Back On Clegg

Colin Firth - pictured left, just about - has announced he no longer supports the Liberal Democrats.
Firth, best known for starring opposite Nicholas Hoult in A Single Man, said it was "because of what the Liberal Democrats had to say about tuition fees and things."
Firth is certainly a voice to be listened to on further education; he played an English professor in the film A Single Man, where you get to see Nicholas Hoult in the nip.
