Stonewall: Season

Stonewall has announced a brand new festival dedicated to all things LGBT.

Stonewall Season, created to celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender life and culture, will consist of various events ranging from film screenings and debates to club nights and parties.

Gok Wan, Depop, KU Bar, The Royal Airforce, and Barefoot Wines are just some of those who will be supporting the Season in some way, shape or form, while Visa will act as support for the festival.

Ruth Hunt, Chief Executive of Stonewall, said: “We have seen lots of discussion around LGBT safe spaces this year, as a range of the community’s best-loved events and venues have come under attack or have had to close down.

“It’s vital that we all do whatever we can to change that, and I’m delighted that our Stonewall Season will help enable individuals and groups across the country to create spaces that are welcoming of and celebrate our wonderful and diverse LGBT community.

“We will use the Season to create a moment in time, where LGBT life and culture can be celebrated, and we can come together as a community and its allies to also think more about the work that lies ahead.”

Safe spaces for Gok Wan and The Royal Air Force!

  1. Precisely 3 events north of the Trent; the only one not in Manchester being a promo for an Edinburgh hair salon. What a surprise! Someone please organise a flat cap tossing contest. Must go.... I have to walk the whippet.
