Rian Birtwell, 23, pleaded guilty to assault at Sunderland Magistrates' Court after confronting Alfi Forsyth and shoving a bar of soap in his mouth in Washington near Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
The court heard how Birtwell, who used to babysit the youngster, had seen him kick an elderly man's walking stick and told him to stop, only to be called a 'gay boy' and to 'f*** off'.
Infuriated Birtwell walked to a shop following the encounter on April 11 and bought a three-pack of soap before returning to Alfi in the park, pinning him down and shoving the soap in his mouth.
