Letter Of The Week: Isn't It Ironic?

I FIND it highly ironic that gay rights group Stonewall has mounted a campaign against the "misuse" of the word "gay".
They object to schoolchildren using the word to mean "bad" or "naff".
I wonder who misappropriated the word in the first instance?
