The Independent: Why Indeed?

Warning: This article in The Independent includes the usual victim-loving nonsense about Alan Turing (he didn't crack The Enigma Code, and 'chemical castration' is a meaningless term) and the Nazis (Equating the imprisonment of thousands of gay men with the systematic extermination of millions of Jews is morally obscene).

    Yes, but some of us are getting very fed up with paying for programmes that shows lesbian and gays as victims and stereotypes. BBC News is running an item about the effect on the world of gays on American TV. Why isn't the self styled "world's best broadcaster" asking why it's latest gay character was a camp drama teacher who was a fish out of water as a football referee? The Gay Football Supporters Network may as well not exist.
