Brighton: Much More Likely To Be Unmarried

The Office For National Statistics have an online thingy where you can find what the census tells you about people who live in your neighbourhood by entering your postcod - via the Mirror.

This is what it says for the area around St James's Street, in Kemptown, Brighton.

The census doesn't ask about sexual orientation, thankfully - it's none of their business.

Roy Scroggins: 1940-2015

Goodbye my friend.

I'll miss your camp faux grumpiness, your dread of 'Tourists!', the way you always gave me discounts, and your little shrine to Audrey Hepburn.

Every time I turn on my wireless, I'll think of you.

Bentcousin: Brighton Lights

Just been sent this by my top showbiz pal, Pat Innit - Brighton Lights - a song about St James's Street.

Pre-cog!

'Everything is right in the Brighton Lights...'

Hope you had a good weekend.

Fagburn: Brighton Pride

Taking the weekend off for Brighton Gay Pride, by the way.

It's been every bit as hellish as usual thus far.

Think I deserve some kind of award for not strangling someone with their stupid rainbow flag while they choke on their annoying whistle.

Back off out again now to the St James's Street Party - which could be more accurately named 'Brighton Straight Piss-Up'. *

Can't wait for this to stop - thank god we only have to do this once a year!

PS Thanks to my care worker, Tom, for looking after me. x

Photo stolen from Tamzine Miller. x

* Not actually a joke. Fagburn's lived just up the road for 15 years, and this was the only time I've ever felt unsafe and threatened on the very street where I live. Something's gone very wrong here...
