James Arthur: Idiot

“I’ve been an idiot. All I can say is it was ego — foolish, foolish pride. I got ideas above my station and I made mistakes. It’s the only excuse I’ve got.”

In an exclusive Sun on Sunday interview, heavily-tattooed James — back in the charts with Recovery — also blames his fame for driving him to a deep depression.

And speaking for the first time about his nervous breakdown last month, he reveals: “All my confidence has disappeared because the whole nation thinks I’m a homophobe who looks like a monster.

“I couldn’t speak to anyone for a week. It was awful. My little sister was being bullied in school and I was receiving constant death threats."

"On reflection, it was the most immature, ridiculous thing I’ve ever done. The word ‘queer’ was used in the rap which should never have been the case. In society you can’t use language like that.”

“I’m 100million per cent not homophobic. I despise that label being attached to me.

“I made ten male gay friends on X Factor. I shared a bed with Rylan Clark for ten weeks. I was spooning that guy. I grew up in a house full of women — I have four sisters. I’m more feminine than some gay men.

“I probably look like the archetypal bully. Now people look at me as if I might beat up a gay guy. That really upsets me."

He's said sorry, shall we move on now?
Someone saying a bad word is hardly the worst crime in the world.
And besides if James had to sleep with Rylan Clark, he's surely suffered enough?

James Arthur: This Is Not Acceptable!

Oh FFS!

Yes, this really is "a thing".
Someone has started a Facebook page calling for James Arthur to be banned from TV because he said a bad word!
Even though he's apologised and is clearly not homophobic.
[Edit: Now even Lucy Spraggan has said he's not a homophobe].
Gay bedwetters of the world never forgive, never forget!
BURN THE WITCH!!!
The page has 9,000 likes - and counting...

Wow, what incredible support for our cause. Many people have been saying we are a hate page, and an anti- James Arthur page. However this couldn't be further from the truth. We set up this page because we do not feel that people with a history of using homophobic language should be rewarded by giving them a spot on primetime TV. James used very offensive and derogatory language on more than one occasion, and when confronted by former friend Lucy Spraggan, showed no sign of remorse, but instead mocking her support of the LGBT community. Do you really think James would have apologised had the public not pulled him up on what he said?

This takes gay hysteria, clicktivism and thought policing to a whole new level of crassness - what an avalanche of absolute fucking idiocy.
What a wonderful life you must live if stupid crap like this makes you angry.
God, there's some boring un/queer people in the world.
HAYULP!!! HAYULP!!!

Forever condemning an ill-educated [!] straight person for their disgusting language does not increase acceptance; it creates an infinite divide, at least between that individual and the queer community they may've once respected in their own way...

The punishment directed at James is hysterical (up to and including death threats). He has apologised for his behaviour but it's being drowned out: if a louder, more heartfelt attempt is made I hope the intended recipients truly listen to what he has to say: that would be an example worth setting to kids at school who associate the word 'gay' with 'bad'. There's of course still a need for militancy when it comes to LGBTQ issues - but we need to pick our battles carefully.

James Arthur: Eh?

James Arthur and Lucy Spraggan 'queer' row: Disgusted fans demand album refund after bitter text exchange

Fans of James Arthur have requested an album refund after Lucy Spraggan published a bitter text exchange between the pair.

Impossible singer James became embroiled in yet another war of words with fellow former X Factor contestant Lucy after James used the word "queer" in a rap.

Last week, it emerged Impossible singer James used the derogatory term when performing a diss rap about unknown rapper Micky Worthless, branding him a "f**king queer".

James also used the words "scrubber", "peasant" and "motherf**ker" to insult the up and coming musician.

And the former X Factor champ was slammed by shocked fans on Twitter for his use of the derogatory terms with the singer even quitting the social networking site insisting only his management would be tweeting on his behalf in the future.

Mirror.

If you can really get a refund just because you bought a record by someone who you later found had opinions you don't agree with, then my friend - the world is fucked on a toadstool to absolute and utter buggeration while riding 'pon a flatulent unicorn sandwich to Neptune.*
Another victory for the boringay© thought police!
Yay!

*Please, someone, tell me this didn't actually happen.

PS James Arthur diagnosed with acute exhaustion following Twitter spat with Lucy Spraggan - Independent.

PPS Record bosses fear for James Arthur's mental health after 'gay' row. JAMES Arthur is feared to be on the brink of a breakdown after being warned his homophobic slur could have cost him his career. James Ingham, Daily Star.
Poor thing. Squish squish *sad face*.
Seems a bit over-stated to claim "his homophobic slur could have cost him his career".
He's an ex-X Factor contestant, so he's running on borrowed time anyway.
(Note also the "source" is ye olde standby an anonymous source).

Fagburn still doesn't understand why this has become such a big "thing".
Have I missed something?

Gay Star News: True

Shouldn't this be Gay Star News' motto?
Or added to the end of every story they publish?

James Arthur: Rank

Daily Star.

A famous person has said a bad word!
Then another famous person tweeted something about it!!!
Snore...

But then...

James Arthur is not homophobic, insists the Daily Star's top pop columnist, James Ingham - and she should know.
Is it just me who doesn't give two hoots about this story?

PS OH NOES!! A famous American man has alo said a bad word! Burn the witch! Will we ever be the same again? etc etc.

Update: James Arthur has a Twitter row about this with someone else from X Factor! Nope, still not that interested...
