Antony And The Johnsons: Swanlights
Swanlights by Antony and the Johnsons from Secretly Jag on Vimeo.
"Queer expression is where I found all my fulfillment—since childhood.
"Trans men give us so much. We have to dream for the future of men, because men need so much help. Faggots have to get on it. Trans people offer a new interpretation of how to perform as male with the knowledge of experience of the feminine in the back pocket."
Interviewed in Out.

Antony Hegarty & David Sedaris: Together At Last
Two of Fagburn's favourite people are doing "exclusive" type things in this week's Observer Magazine.
There are two stories taken from David Sedaris's new book of modern animal fables, Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk.
You can hear David read the new story, The Mouse and the Snake, on The Observer online here.
And Antony Hegarty snaps away for My Week In Pictures.
The OM also has some recipes from Nigel Slater as per, so technically that's three of Fagburn's favourite (gay) people.
Enjoy!

The xx: Polymorphous Perverts
After last year's debacle of giving the Mercury Music Prize to the dreadful Speech Debelle, Fagburn thinks this year it'll probably go to The xx.
Mainly to show that Simon Frith and the gang are still down with the kids - but also because the last time the judge's picked someone who by common consent was actually a deserved winner they went for the nominee who was the most polymorphous perverse, Antony and The Johnsons.
And the unwritten subtext of pretty much everything written about The xx is that they're, you know, a bit "polymorphous perverse".
And who knows? Maybe they'll actually come out if they win.
Though part of me thinks a bit of horse-trading and arm-twisting could make the judges go for the "We've got to give it to someone everyone's heard of this year" option... Paul Weller.
Which would be quite boring.
Thank you for asking.
