John Waters: How To Go To The Movies
John Waters in a Kickstarter video raising money for San Francisco's Roxie Theater cinema (and apparent slut pit).
"I get a kick out of the Roxie! And if you don't, I oughta kick your ass!
"On a slow night, if few people are there, you can masturbate in the theater.
"Or better yet, have sex with a fellow ticket-buyer on a really good night there.
"And afterwards, you can have a drink in one of the many alarming bars in this neighborhood.
"The Roxie is what movie-going is all about.
"If you don't give them money, you're an asshole, plain and simple."

Broadway: It's Not Just For Gays Anymore!
If you've seen a show then you already know
How magical theatre can be!
It's a two-hour live action, barely affordable
Unlipsynced version of Glee
So this song goes out to the rest of you
Those who've never seen theatre before
Because Broadway has never been broader
It's not just for gays anymore!
If you feel like someone that this world excludes
It's no longer only for dudes who like dudes!
Attention every breeder, you're invited to the theatre
It's not just for gays anymore!
Neil Patrick Harris's big opening number at the Tony Awards ceremony in New York last night. [Full lyrics on After Elton]
Brava!
The award for best play revival went to... bah, who cares!

AfterElton: Ignorance Is Stength
Here's 'AfterElton.com's Top 50 Gay Male Musicians'by Davis Mallory.
"Our countdown of modern popular music's most influential and intriguing openly gay or bisexual male artists."
Even by the standards of the gay media this article is littered with errors.
Just take a look at the last page and check AfterElton's Top 4 Gay Male Musicians.
Village People have become "The Village People" - and gay gay gay construction worker Village Person David Hodo is pronounced straight.
Freddie Mercury is misspelt "Freddy Mercury".
Elton John is at number one.
"He was knighted in 1995 for his charitable work by Queen Elizabeth and wed his husband, David Furnish, in 2005..."
No, he wasn't.
I could go on...

Disney Channel: Don't Shake It Up
GM: "What I said before really remains true. We leave it up to our audience to interpret who these characters are and how they relate to them. It's great that this child has interpreted Gunther this way and that it speaks to him in a way that makes sense for his life. And that's what we're trying to do - create a diverse cross section of characters on television that kids can have different access points and entry points to connect with."
AE: "But why is a gay character something a gay teen should have to interpret?"
From an exchange between Gary Marsh, president of Disney Channel Worldwide, and Michael Jensen of the US website, AfterElton.
