Heath, a classical music buff, was Conservative Party leader between 1965 and 1975. He moved to a home near Salisbury Cathedral, Wilts, in 1985 and lived there until his death.

Coleman said gays “ran” the Tory Party in London for years, suggesting Heath may have been protected. Since Heath’s death, rumours have spread he targeted underage boys.

Like Heath, Savile was a regular visitor to the Channel Island, where the Haut de la Garenne children’s home was said to have supplied victims to sex fiends. Campaigner Carrie Modral, of the Jersey Care Leavers Association, said of Heath: “It’s said that boys would be taken from the home to parties on his yacht.” ...
