Whilst there are admittedly much more important issues in the world, I don't think this should be dismissed so easily. Anti hate speech laws are ridiculous and betray the deep condescension of the rulers for the ruled. Our masters actually seem to think that people are so feeble minded that if someone says kills gays, some people will attempt to do so.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, we have a plethora of these laws and policies. These days, Governments and large corporations want to be seen as gay friendly. Yet just posturing and failing to enforce these laws or policies seems to me to be the worst or all worlds. The bigots think they are being persecuted, but still get to spew their hatred and Facebook makes lots of money. It seemed like a worthwhile article to me.
