X Factor’s Craig Colton is dating Danyl Johnson
Two singers are 'an item'

It's good to see how matter of factly The Sun reports this "story", but Fagburn suspects they may have been "introduced" by Max Clifford...

Update: Or then again they might not be. WHODATHUNKIT!!!?

X Factor: "A Real Life Diva"

Is Fagburn alone in thinking that there may - just possibly - be some kind of a subtext in this story in today's Daily Mirror?

Wacky X Factor star Nicolo Festa is “even more of a diva” in real life, friends say.
The flamboyant singer, dubbed the new Mika, loves to wear make-up and comedy glasses on wild nights out.
One pal said: “He can out-diva the best of them. He is even more over the top in real life.”
Nicolo, 21, who wowed the judges on Saturday with Carpenter’s hit A Song For You, is a regular at fashion week parties in London, Milan and New York.
Cheryl told him: “I don’t know if it’s the Italian accent or the fact you’re called Nicolo. I enjoyed your vocal – very diva-ish.”
Simon said: “I like you because you’re weird and I mean that as a compliment.
“Cheryl is right, you are a diva.” Louis added: “A real diva in the making, but that’s what makes you interesting.”

If Nicolo Festa wins, let's just hope no-one hacks into his Twitter account.
Fagburn notes how the above is all taken as good-natured banter - but compare it to the hoo-ha in last year's series when Dannii Minogue told a male contestant, Danyl Johnson, who'd just been outed in the tabloids on his choice of song; ''If we're to believe everything we read in the papers, maybe you didn't need to change the gender reference in it?''
There was the predictable hue and cry - some (daftly) even called Dannii's remark "homophobic" and reported her to Ofcom.
Conversely; "Some viewers were concerned that Minogue seemed to be referring to the contestant's sexuality in a pre-watershed family show."
Does this mean you can compliment an X Factor contestant on a gender bending act, as long as you don't make it explicit that they're attracted to the same sex?
